Ohhh gosh…
Today started with a hearty, hearty laugh. My mom and I were on our morning walk, having a great time, enjoying the weather when suddenly, behind this giant bush something dashes out aiming for my legs. My instincts kicked in and I let out a little “ah!” and jumped slightly. At the same time my mom stops, stares at the situation for like 5 seconds and just screeeeeeeeeams at the top of her lungs, bloody – hear her five cities over – murder. Ummm…it was a tiny kitten that proceeded to roll over and want to play!! My mom literally WIGGED out and I could not stop laughing. I lauged so hard I could barely finish our walk. I’m laughing as I’m typing right now. It was just such a huge reaction to such a tiny little kitten, I’ve literally never witnessed anything like it in my life. It was so.freaking.funny. Good times with mom

I was planning a tropical paradise oatmeal breakfast with toasted coconut, toasted almonds, a banana and some dried apricots – but the tropical breeze flew out of my sails when I realized I lost my shrededed coconut! Yes, I lost it – as in, I don’t know where it went! How does that happen? Anyways, I continued on with just “paradise” oatmeal, sans the tropical coconut part, and it was a true delight. I didn’t mix the banana in with the oatmeal while it was cooking today, and it made for a HUGE voluminous breakfast – I dig that. I literally almost couldn’t finish it! The dried apricots were also key – they added a sweet, chewy burst of goodness - awesome!

For lunch I packed an “everything but the kitchen sink” salad!
- Spinach
- Mixed Greens
- Falafel balls
- Feta Cheese
- Dried Cranberries
- Grape Tomatoes

It looks delish, and I can’t wait to dig in
I also packed a blueberry buckle yogurt – yum! Did you know there’s no such thing as naturally occuring blue food? (blueberries are purple!) It’s true!

We’re hitting the 80′s today people! I’m psyched!
In other news, my washer is broken and I have to get a repair man out – BUMMER!!!!!
Question: Have you ever been scared out of your wits and have it turn out to be over nothing?

Hooray for fun times with mom
FALAFEL!!
Oooooohh yuuuummmm
Sorry to hear about the washer!
Haha, too many times to count!
So funny about the kitten! I get scared so easily, it’s not even funny. The saddest one was this:
My one dog ALWAYS has to check when he “lets one go” to make sure it was him, like he’s NEVER done that before and what the heck is happening? One evening we were cuddling watching TV and he let one go scaring the crap out of both me and him. My husband almost keeled over with laughter and I felt like a moron.
Sorry your washer broke! That’s not fun.
Hahahahaha! Awww, poor little kitty. He was probably thinking “why are these ladies screaming at me, I just want to play!”
Haha. Too funny!!
I love your kitten story – it made me smile. I hope that you enjoy the 80 degree weather and that it gets that warm up here in Minneapolis!
Oh…how funny. I bet the kitten was cute! My husband got really freaked out once when a flying squirrel jumped out of his fake tree in his living room. The squirrel jumped on his table and started eating his food!
