Perfection in a Bowl

0

GoooooOOOOOD morning everyone! Happy Tuesday!

So commercials stink, right? Normally I completely agree, however the “AT&T Rollover Minutes Mom” cracks. me. up. Seriously, I giggle like a four year old when I see her commercials. The one below makes me laugh particularly hard, because this is exactly the kind of mom I’m going to be. Check out the death stare about 17 seconds in:

Ohhh, classic! I’m definitely going to be the disciplinarian in our household when Ben and I have kids!

Breakfast took the last of my precious figgy’s, one lone prune, a perfectly ripe banana, toasted coconut, cinnamon, vanilla, milk, oats and a drizzle of sugar-free maple sypup. Ok seriously, toasted coconut is where.it’s.at.! Perfection in a bowl, if I do say so myself :)

I packed a mixed, baby field greens salad with wasabi peas, a chopped Braeburn apple, leftover roasted brussel sprouts and some dried cranberries for lunch. Normally I pretty much hate “field greens,” if you will – I just don’t take myself that seriously – however, I’m willing to take myself seriously when field greens are going for $1 a package at the store! I feel like they’re so light compared to iceburg, romaine or spinach salads – it’s like eating air! Oh well, I should be thankul that I have food in the first place :)

RUNNING IS ON THE AGENDA tonight! I have been slacking dear readers – I haven’t been running since the hotness of Friday afternoon! Visitors and bad weather were my excuse over the weekend and the washing machine repair man took the blame yesterday. No excuses today – I’m getting my behind to the gym!

Question for you: What’s something you really want to learn how to do? I’m dying to learn how to surf and learn Japanese!

Don’t forget to enter up to three times for the One Month Blogiversary Giveaway! One winner will be chosen at random on Friday May 1st @ Noon CST!

Your salads always look delicious! I may have to make one for lunch tomorrow. :-)

Hmm … one thing I would like to learn? How NOT to be a baby when it comes to water sports (I’m not a fan of sea creatures) … or how to play the guitar, since it’s way more portable than my piano.

Girl. Barney Butter Barney Butter Barney Butter. I want to try it so badly! Does the fact that I’m a college student in my last days of classes and that I’m already drunk by 6:45 count in my favor? I love your blog!
