WHEW what a Sunday!! I have been on the go since 9:00 this morning! Activities of the day included:
- Cleaned house top to bottom
- Went to parent’s house for lunch
- Grocery shopped
- Dug up/transplanted 8 hosta plants
- Pulled weeds from all flower beds
- Trimmed bushes in the front yard
- TENNIS!
- Hung out/had dinner with Ben’s parents
This day has seemed to stretch on forrrreeeeever, which I absolutely love in a weekend day! And we couldn’t have asked for better weather – it was absolutely gorgeous out all day! Here are some recap photos:
Lunch: spinach and mixed green salad, homeade lasagna, warm ciabatta bread and mixed fruit salad. Thanks Mom!

The best lasagna eva!! My mom uses local Graziano sausage – spicy and delicious:

Dessert: Dutch Almond Log from the Vander Ploeg bakery, which we picked up at the Farmer’s Market yesterday!

Ahhhh, hosta free side yard. I’m going to put a fresh layer of mulch over the existing mulch and put some potted plants out. I hate pulling weeds!!! Aaaaand don’t judge, we need a trimmer – badly!

Remaining hosta plants on other side yard:

Trimmed up bushes in front:

My little tennis pro
We were particularly sucky today. So sucky, in fact, that Ben hurt his knee and we had to go home! Not before I sprinted all over the court for half an hour and made a couple of runs outside the court to retrieve the tennis balls that we I hit over the fence
It was a GREAT workout though!

Then we headed over to Ben’s parent’s house and hung out for the evening. We ordered some Japanese food and Ben and I split a spicy chicken dish – it was AWESOME!!
We are in for the night now and hunkered down to watch Desperate Housewives.
Do you guys like having busy Sundays, or would you rather relax all day? I used to like to do as little as possible on Sundays because I felt like I had to mentally prepare myself for the coming work week. For the last year or so though, I like to keep busy and treat Sunday like any other day – helps to keep work and Monday out of my mind!
Good night you guys!
