Good morning everyone!!
As much as I LOVE to travel – there is something to be said for getting back into a routine – I’m such a routine type of person…are you?
As part of getting back into my normal routine, I went on my first mom walk since last Wednesday! We were plagued by rain for most of last week and weren’t able to go, so I was very excited to get back out there. I can definitely tell the difference between days where I’ve started off with a little bit of exercise vs not. I feel MUCH better when I do!
So I didn’t get a chance to go grocery shopping after we got home last night and my fresh food rations are loooow right now – so, I made eggs and toast for breakfast! I do love a hot plate of eggs :) I had 1 whole egg + 2 egg whites + splash of water + S&P.
It’s not a sweet, delicious bowl of oats, but sometimes it’s good to change things up! These were nice and fluffy – flecked with some salt and pepper.
Mmmm nothing better than hot, freshly buttered toast! I smeared Barney Butter on one piece!
Oh, I wanted to tell you, I’ve added my Hal Higdon half-marathon training schedule to the Run Often tab at the top of the site! I’ll update it every Sunday with the coming weeks’ schedule, then cross out and provide the updated workout activity if something changes during the week. Week one went really well, except that I took an extra rest day on Sunday. I think that’s ok though – one missed run won’t kill me. According to Hal, today’s workout is supposed to be stretch + strengthen, but I’m going to…ZUMBA!!
I have been looking for Zumba classes in my area forever and my sister-in-law emailed me last week to tell me that our gym just added classes! In case you don’t know:
Zumba fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.

I am SO excited to go! Both Kerry (My S-I-L) and I are/were dancers, so I’m thinking this is going to be right up our ally!!
For lunch today I packed a cold version of this - a Cheese Sandwich with Franks Buffalo Hot Sauce! Yay – I’m so excited!
Note on my bread – usually I only eat 100% whole wheat bread, but this Sarah Lee Whole Wheat White (which is actually only 30% wheat :( ) was suuuuuper on sale last week and I just couldn’t bear to spend three more dollars on a loaf of bread when this one was so inexpensive! Anyways, I think this ‘wich going to taste really good cold!
Also packed some leftover green beans :)
Tonight, I have something very delicious in mind for dinner – can’t wait!
Question #1: Have you ever tried Zumba? Did you like it? Do you like trying “unconventional” types of workouts?
Question #2: Did anyone see “Angels & Demons” or “Earth” this weekend at the movie theater? I want to see both SO BAD, but if they’re “renter” quality, then I may just wait!
