Getting Saucy!

0

Heeeey everyone! Happy Wednesday – can you believe it’s Thursday tomorrow?! This week has FLOWN by!

It was hot and windy today, which made for a difficult run, especially when I am SO sore from Zumba! That class kicked my bootay – nothing like having fun while getting your butt kicked though! I completed my 5.15 sweaty miles in 45 minutes – feelin’ good!!

So I want to tell you guys about a sauce that knows how to have a good time – Drunkin’ Priest Dippin’ Sauce!! I recently got a bottle and it is dy-no-mite!!

“The original recipe for Drunkin’ Priest Dippin’ Sauce consists of unique and natural ingredients which makes our sauce one of a kind. The bold flavors of soy sauce, ginger and garlic infused with the delicate flavors of white grape juice and apple juice creates a distinct taste.”

Drunkin’ Priest sauce can be used for dipping, in stir frys, as a marinade and even as salad dressing! I originally wanted to try it because  I saw that is was all natural and had no artificial preservatives or high fructose corn syrup. Take a look at these ingredients – I can pronounce them all!

Tonight I used this sauce and made Marinated & Grilled Chicken Salad with Pineapple Pico de Gallo! Whew, what a mouthful!

I used the dippin’ sauce in two ways:

  • Marinade for my grilled chicken (so good)
  • Salad dressing for my salad (SOOOOO good)

I’m SOOOO glad I tried this because it is SOOOO tasty! It’s got all of my favorite flavors – soy, ginger and garlic – and is the perfect combo of sweet and savory. The usage possibilities are zipping through my mind right now!

My salad had:

  • Mixed greens
  • Pineapple pico de gallo, made up of:
    • Tomato, onion, diced pineapple, jalapeno, fresh garlic, lime juice, MY CILANTRO!!!, S&P

I am a proud cilantro parent:

The pico was incredibly refreshing with the pineapple, which went really well with the subtle sweetness of the sauce.

PILED on that pico – I love this stuff!

I also cut up my first watermelon of the season! It was SO juicy – and smelled just like a watermelon should – sweet and delicious!!

What says summer better than some juicy watermelon??

Oh, a couple of you asked how I liked the Cinnamon Roll Yoplait Yogurt I tried the other day! I liked the flavor – it was like a cinnamon roll with a sour cream based icing. And it was SO think and creamy – which was absolutely delightful. However – yes, there’s a however - the container had 14g of sugar which is a TON of sugar, so I think it I had this again I would freeze it for a little bit and have it for an ice cream-like dessert!

So I loved this Drunkin’ Priest Dippin’ Sauce – I think it might be sneaking up on soy sauce as my favorite condiment…ahh!!! What’s your favorite condiment?? Ketchup? Relish? Salsa? …MAYO?!
