You guys…I saw a snake.
I was running on the trail when all of the sudden I saw a long, brown, squishy, nasty snake tail slither right into the brush…EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! It was so disgusting!!! I wigged out and didn’t know what to do…I’ve never seen a snake in real life!! Well, I think I saw one once in 7th grade, but you know 7th graders…they always make stuff up, so I most likely didn’t even see it! Ugh…I felt so nasty and thought every stick and rustle in the brush after that was another one…GROSS!!!
Even now at home, I’m certain that around every corner I turn and behind every door I open – they’ll be a disgusting coiled up snake ready to sink it’s snake fangs into my juicy thigh…BLEH!!!!!!!!!
Anyways, to make myself feel better…I needed some carbs. So, I made Churro Pancakes!!
I used:
- 1 cup fat-free Krusteaz buttermilk pancake mix
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- tooons of cinnamon
- splash of vanilla
- sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on top
I cooked these babies up on my flat-top skillet and in about 7 minutes, I was in sweet, fluffy, churro pancake heaven
I just love pancakes – but really, what’s not to love?
This Krusteaz brand mix is great too – all you have to do is add water!
To add some freshness to the meal, I also had some sweet, juicy cantaloupe.
It’s my favorite melon-type fruit, I think.
I honestly do feel better now. Thanks p-cakes
Oh by the way, when I saw the snake I was on a 5.15 mile run/walk. It wasn’t on the training schedule, but it was so beautiful outside I just had to take advantage!

Ok, so obviously snakes traumatize me. I’m pretty sure it’s a basic human instinct to be afraid of them. What creepy, crawly thing are you most afraid of?!?!?!?!
