Weeelllll…we decided to see The Hangover! You guys – it was soooo funny. “Andy”, from The Office, really carried that movie…it was so great, I highly recommend! I also highly recommend Starbursts FaveREDS which is a pack of all “red” flavored Starbursts! They are insanely good and were a fun treat to have at the movie 
So tonight Ben decided to cook a nice dinner for the two of us! He wanted to keep the dish a secret until he served it, so he went and bought all the groceries himself.
Before he started cooking away, he made me setup shop down in the living room so I couldn’t see what he was making. Then, he presented me with an “appetizer”. FRITOS! Ok – I understand that these are like one of the worst chips for you out there, but they are one of my favorite guilty pleasures and yes, I though it was sweet that he bought them for me!
I snacked on a small bowl while he raced around the kitchen getting everything prepared. He gets so nervous to cook because he thinks he’ll mess up and I’ll hate it! However, if you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, you’ll know that:
- I rarely hate anything I eat…I’m not picky in the slightest…except when it comes to cooked carrots and mushrooms, but that’s it!
- I love my husband so much that if he presented me with dirt for dinner, I’d probably eat it. Well, maybe not, but you know what I mean!
When I was finally called up to dinner, Ben presented me with Cheeseburgers, Pasta Salad & Twice Baked Potatoes! What a guy!!
He made his own special burger blend with tons of spices and even diced onions in the mix! They were so flavorful and moist!
Topped with Muenster, of course. My preferred burger topping cheese
He even made this entire pasta salad himself – including cubing up the cheese and chopping up the tomatoes!
Ben knows I love twice baked potatoes and these were perfect to round out our plates. These were sooooooo creamy!
And the man even had dessert ready! Caramel Brownie Ice Cream Sundaes! Clearly Ben knows the way to my heart is through my stomach!
I ate all my pasta salad, my cheeseburger with the bottom bun, about 1/4 of the potato – I think those things weighed about 2lbs each! – and about half my dessert. My belly is full and I am HAPPY! Thanks to the best husband in the world for a fabulous dinner!!!
I’m not sure what’s on tap for the rest of the evening…perhaps another movie? Have you rented a movie that you really liked lately? What are you up to tonight?

Awwww, what a nice guy Ben is!!!! Hey, I desperately need your help. I have a new-found love for mangoes, but I have no idea how to cut them up into cubes. I have absolutely massacred the last two mangoes I purchased (I literally got maybe 3 bites of mango out of it). What’s the secret?

We saw The Hangover this weekend too. Unfortunately we went on opening night and had to sit in the very front row (never again!), but the movie was super entertaining!
Aw, I love this! My hubby does dinner for me once a month. It’s so cute because he even schedules it into our google calendar and makes it into such a special event.
We are so lucky to have such amazing hubbies!
