Time is On My Side

WHEW I did it! 6 miles in 51 minutes! It was a bit more challenging than usual, because I haven’t gone past 5.15 miles in a loooong time, but definitely do-able!

Let me just tell you that it was about 98% humidity out there and the dark, navy clouds overhead threatened to burst open at any.minute. But lucky me, the first drop literally fell as I ran my last step and entered my cul-de-sac! You wouldn’t know I hadn’t been in a rainstorm though, because I was da-renched in sweat. Appetizing, no? :)

I was in need of some hydrating foods after I got showered, so I had some juicy cantaloupe and watermelon, YUM! :)

I also had a Blueberry Oikos Greek Yogurt (see my review here!)

I recently read about an amazing treat – Greek yogurt blended up with a fruit of your choice, chilled in the freezer for about an hour and than eaten like ice cream…YES PLEASE!!! I think I’m going to try it this week with my Honey flavored Oikos, because I’m not crazy about the raw honey flavor all by itself.

I can’t believe it’s only 6:30 – I feel like I’ve got so much time left in my day…whatever shall I do? Maybe relax, listen to the rain fall and the thunder roll…ahhh what a great way to end the weekend :) How do you like to unwind on Sundays?

Talk to you tomorrow friends!

Hmm… how do I unwind? I try to give myself at least a couple hours where I have nothing planned and watch junky TV!

Congrats on the 6-miler! And that’s a good time, too :D Ughhh I hate humidity. Props for running in that gross weather!

That fruit looks so yummy, and I want to try that blended frozen greek yogurt+fruit combo. Sounds delicious!

I unwind by watching some trashy tv online while playing games on pogo.com. haha!

Fabulous time! I definitely can’t match that. I should try to focus more on speed in addition to just distance.
I unwind on Sundays by cooking dinner, eating with my hubby, and hanging out on the computer…pretty much like every night :-)

I unwind by watching tv and relaxing in bed! I’m pretty lazy on Sundays.
