Three Question Thursday: Round 6

37

Good morning!

I try to never wish away my days…but I am totally workin’ for the weekend at this point! I don’t even have any plans – well actually, I have some amazing plans for Sunday afternoon – but other than that, I don’t really have anything on the agenda for the weekend…I just want it to get here. Now! :)

So I need to share…this past weekend I finally got new cookie cutters, so last night after my run I created a little duck army out of sugar cookies!! Aren’t they sweet? I seriously like, wanted to cuddle with them or something…

I also made some veeeery bright flowers…in the dark evening light, they were semi-blinding!

IMG_2738

For breakfast this morning I was tempted – I mean REALLY tempted – to break up a cookie on top of my oatmeal for a special topper. Buuuuut I didn’t…if I’m going to have a cookie, I’m going to enjoy it all by itself…savoring every sweet and delicious bite…mmm…

SO – instead I had Apricot Almond Oatmeal!

IMG_2756

In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup each of oats, skim milk and water
  • splash of almond extract & cinnamon
  • 1 medium banana
  • ~2 T almonds
  • 4 chopped apricots
  • drizzle of sugar-free syrup

IMG_2758

This is another winning combo – the dried apricots are such a fab addition to the oatmeal…I just loved this bowl!!

IMG_2761

I also had coffee in my Frozen 5K mug…which I didn’t even know I had until I found it in the cupboard today! Sweet!

IMG_2750

IMG_2751

For lunch I packed another sweet and savory delight: Mixed Greens Salad with Roasted Vegetables, Cheese & Strawberries!

IMG_2753

I love that punch of sweetness from the strawberries, mixed in with the savory salad dressing and roasted vegetables. Yummy!!

It’s Three Question Thursday time, people!!! Here they are…and here’s my challenge: if you’ve been reading but never commented – do it today! Let’s hear from you! :)

1. If you could play one professional sport, what would it be?

2. Would you rather be stranded on a desert island alone, or with someone you can’t stand?

3.  If could teach something, what would you teach?

My answers:

1. I think I’d want to be a professional diver. I feel like that is such a unique and beautiful talent to be able to twist and tumble in the air like that. Plus, those people just seem fearless…

2. I think…I’d rather be alone! I have very little patience…eek!

3. I would teach cooking and baking classes! :D Gosh that’d be so amazing…

Have a FAB Thursday everyone!

  3. Lauren 06.11.2009

Awww, so ironic. I am eating apricot oatmeal this very moment. Totally agree, love love love the dried apricots!

And on to 3 question Thursday!

    1. Hmmm, I think I would be a professional tennis player. Those chics are crazy in shape and the uniforms are definitely cute!

    1. If you could play one professional sport, what would it be?

I’d like to think tennis. I suck at tennis, but I want me some tennis arms!

    2. Would you rather be stranded on a desert island alone, or with someone you can’t stand?

Alone. I could improvise ok, and I am more of a loner anyway. I’d way rather be by myself than with someone I couldn’t stand.

    3. If could teach something, what would you teach?

I think cooking too, but I love history as well.

    Yay, fun post!

  5. Alison 06.11.2009

    1. If you could play one professional sport, what would it be?

Definitely gymnastics. I like ice skating too.

    2. Would you rather be stranded on a desert island alone, or with someone you can’t stand?

Even though I’m a loner, probably with someone. It’d be nice to have someone to direct my frustrations at. They probably would really hate me.

    3. If could teach something, what would you teach?

I love history; I would enjoy being a history teacher. English too.

  6. Krystal 06.11.2009

    1) I would definitely be a professional golfer. You get to spend your days outside, there’s always good, respectful competition and you get to travel. Plus, a lot of people don’t realize it, but golf is a very strategic and mentally challenging game.
    2) Tough one, but I’d think alone would be the way to go. I’d finally have time to meditate and discover the meaning of life without distraction. HA
    3) This is another tough one. If I could combine religion, philosophy and composition into one class, I’d teach that.

  13. Niki 06.11.2009

  16. mshort 06.11.2009

Found you about a week ago, and I love your blog :) This is my first response too!

Oh my gosh… Sugar cookies are my favorite and yours look so incredibly scrumptious! You’ll have to tell us how good they taste now ;) Your breakfast looks quite tasty too. Jealous!

1- Ice skating! It’s so elegant and requires a lot of strength, flexibility, and stamina.

2- Be alone… If it was someone I couldn’t stand, I wouldn’t be nice and they’d probably kill themselves!

3- Teach voice lessons, choir, or English.
