I fought the AC and the AC won…
I had been trying to hold off on turning it on until July but when I got home and it was 80 degrees inside…I caved 
It’s true. I hate paying for AC, but let’s be real – it is sweet, sweet bliss to chill out (literally) inside a frosty cold house when it is blazing hot outside!
I went on my lunch time walk again this afternoon! Oh.My.Heavens. it was SooOOO hot and humid – no complaints though, just the facts! I’d rather be hot and sweating my buns off than freezing cold and miserable! I did return to work as “that sweaty girl” though…mmm…great.
While not so enjoyable for my cube mates, all this heat and humidity has done great things for my flowers and herbs! Check out the before:

It’s the delicious basil that was the highlight of my dinner tonight: Pizza Margarita Flats!
I used a flat out wrap and placed it under the broiler for a few minutes until it was a little bit toasty – no color on it, just dried out a bit.
While that was toasting, I cut a chiffonade of my fresh basil:
and chopped up some fresh roma tomatoes:
Then I took my semi-toasted wrap, added a drizzle of olive oil, a scattering of fresh garlic, a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese, a smattering of fresh roma tomatoes and a…fresh basil (I was out of “s” adjectives 
) and popped it back under the broiler.
About 2 minutes later I had a Pizza Margarita Flat!
The basil was SO fragrant!
The tomatoes were SO fresh!
And nothing beats the flavor of fresh olive oil and garlic – they are the perfect combo!
Well it’s currently 89 degrees out right now and you know my outside workout threshold is 83 degrees – so I’m holding off on the run for right now. I’m going to give the earth a chance to cool down a little bit, then hit the trail!!!

Did you guys see the People’s Hottest Bachelor issue is out? Apparently Chace Crawford is number one (I semi disagree) and I’m going to admit…I wish Zach Efron had won!! I KNOW – JUDGE ME KINDLY! I’ve never even seen any of his movies, his man bangs kind of drive me nuts and he’s like 10 years younger than me or something – but I just think he is so sweet and cute!!! I love Zefron!!

Too funny – I have that same flower (the yellow one) in my backyard! It’s the background for my blog heading…still don’t know what they’re called, but they’re one of my favorites!

I think Chace is a hottie, but I agree….LOVE Zefron! Um, I watched High School Musical 3 and my favorite scene is the opening one (he’s shirtless and whew!). lol. But I think the hottest bachelor in Hollywood is Justin Timberlake…I love his personality. And Robert Pattison.

I think the yellow flower is a Stella de Oro Daylilly. I’m in Ohio and they are the official flower of my hometown. Love them. They are the easiet perennial ever to maintain!
