All American Meal

Good morning everyone!

Well, I went on my first Mom walk in almost a week this morning! My Mom and Dad were visiting relatives in Ohio all last week and weekend, and it would have just been too sad and lonely to walk our route alone, so I didn’t go at all while she was gone! It was great to jump start my morning with good exercise, great convo and some sweat. It was already 80 degrees when we went! 8)

I was feeling mentally prepared to bring hot oatmeal back into my life this morning…but we were out of milk!! So I made another goodie – Eggs & Toast with Blackberry Jam. Yumm!!!

My eggs consisted of:

  • 1 whole egg + 2 egg whites
  • splash of water
  • S&P

cooked in a skillet for about 2 minutes and breakfast was served.

These were some of the tastiest scrambled eggs I’ve ever had!

There’s nothing wrong with a little sweetness in the a.m. either ;)

For lunch today, I’m feeling very classic – very all American, if you will. I packed a Turkey + Muenster Cheese on Whole Wheat bread sandwich,

and a sliced Braeburn apple with Barney Butter for some dippage!

Should be very tasty and delish!

Oh, you guys! Look what I made last night! My Mom is going to a get together for a friend of hers that has a son that’s getting married, so I made mini heart sugar cookies :) I also made some wedding bells, but they’re not ready yet.

Speaking of marriage – and this is actually a terrible segue – did you guys hear about Jon + Kate? Filing for divorce :( I feel so terrible for their children and terrible for Jon & Kate. Did you ever see the videos of they when they first got married – how happy they were together?? So sad!!!!

On a happier note – have a fabulous Tuesday!

First off your breakfast is my fav besides oatmeal! Eggs are the love of my life ahah. Love your lunch as well, it sounds delish. I’ve never tried Barney Butter though.
Your mini heart cookies are going to be perfect for the party! How do you make your frosting so smooth?

I could eat that toast through the screen!

Ah, that Jon and Kate situation is strange. Seems like Jon grew up before he was ready, in my opinion….

I know, it really is sad about them, but how enamored they became with celebrity is probably at the heart of their downfall. At least they’re not fighting in front of the kids now. And did you notice his pierced ears? Talk about a crisis!

Those cookies are bakery level – seriously! Mine would look like a drunken five year old had a bad art class project.

Yummy! that looks like a great breakfast and lunch. :)

The cookies are so cute. What kind of frosting/frosting method did you use to get them to look like that? I have to make sugar cookies for my girlie weekend get-together on Wed or Thurs… and I’d love to make the frosting lay like that. :D

You are all American today girl. Eggs and toast and a turkey sandwich? Could this really be coming from the life of a food blogger? Normal food? LoL. No, I’m j/k. It looks and sounds wonderful.

I can’t even put into words how upset I was watching that horrid show. It makes me sick to my stomach. I was listening to the radio this morning and someone made a good point. They said that if they cancell the show, it would be one more thing in those kids lives that would be taken away. The show and the crew are all they know. They’ve grown up with them and now if they suddenly stop taping, the kids will be completely out of sorts.

I never thought of it that way, but it makes sense.

God help that family. I feel so bad for them.

Hope you had a wonderful Tuesday!

    yay for baking!

I don’t know if you have mentioned in previous posts, but what is the recipe for the frosting?
