Good morning everyone! How goes it?!
Last night was so much fun! Around here in the summer there is a weekly “party in the park” type thing with beer, bands, etc – it’s really cool. Well Ben and I were going to meet some friends there after work, but it started to rain! So we moved it to a covered patio nearby for some beers…and…
BLURT!! My favorite board game of all time! Can you believe it was at the bar?!
Basically whosever turn it is rolls the dice, and picks one of the cards that comes with the game. All the cards have a definition on them, so the person reads the definition and the first person to blurt out the word that fits the definition gets to move their game piece. IT IS SO MUCH FUN! I got second place with the word “skillet” – fitting, no?!
After that, Ben and I went to a nearby restaurant for some chicken soup (no idea why I didn’t take a picture) and a hard lemonade. It was decent. And it was hot out, hence the shiny face 
Several drinks didn’t leave me feeling too nasty this morning, but I was craving a clean, nourishing beverage – so I had a Green Monster of course!! Have you taken the challenge yet?
In the mix this morning:
- 2 giant handfuls baby spinach
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1 medium banana
- 1 spoonful Barney Butter
- 2 handfuls ice
This picture cracks me up. With the sunlight filtering in, it’s like the all mighty Green Monster…angels singing ahhh!!!
I’m off to shower and hit up the Des Moines Art Festival!! Should be awesome! Have a fabulous day!

Yep, after a night of drinking I wake up dying for healthy food. My body is like instantly in recuperation mode. Good for you for starting your day off right.
No wonder you have a shiny face. If it’s anywhere as hot in IA as the fam is saying it is in IN, it was probably like 80 degrees there even last night!!! So glad I live in Cali :p. Ok, that was mean. xoxo

Sounds like such a fun night. It’s funny, I usually wake up hungry after a have a little too much to drink. But definitely hungry for something “clean” like fruit, cereal, or yogurt. And lots of h20!

Haha I know – I embarrassed the group pretty badly when I got second place with the word “skillet” because it was between Ben and I for the win…and I screamed pretty loud…
