Good evenin’ everyone
Well, I found something to do with my wide-open Sunday…Ben and I went shopping!
I started with a cool beverage: a Lite Caramel Frappuccino from Starbucks. I figured since I ordered a lite that it wouldn’t come with whip cream, but it did – and I guess I didn’t mind too much
The caramel drizzle was to die for too. Don’t worry, I licked the lid to make sure I got it all
Frappy makes me happy!
While shopping around a home store, I stumbled on Halloween decorations. Halloween decorations?! It’s August 2nd! Holiday prep starts earlier and earlier each year, doesn’t it?
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so I actually got semi giddy to see all this cute stuff!
Do you deck your home out for the Holidays? I give my home a “fall” decorating theme starting in October, then move to “Christmasy” type stuff in December, then a “winter” theme after that – snowflakes, snowmen, etc. I don’t get too nutty, but it’s fun to have a little seasonal decor around!
And look at these Christmas tree ornaments! They’re marshmallow s’more men!
So adorable
We didn’t end up buying anything – which is good for the wallet, but had fun window shopping – which is good for the soul
Oh, then we went to Costco and feasted on samples. That is good for the stomach!
For dinner tonight we headed down to Ben’s parents house for a grill out. On the menu:
- Fresh rolls
- Green beans
- Ribeye steaks
- Corn on the cob
Here’s Ben, our grill master!
Some delectable rib-eyes – tender and juicy as can be!
For dessert, we continued the Girl Scout ice cream cake tradition and had Thin Mint Ice Cream Cake. Omg…
This was JUST like eating Thin Mints out of the freezer – which is my FAVE way to eat them!
Alrighty everyone – I am stuffed, tired and getting up early in the morning to RUN. I have taken a week long hiatus from running and am more than ready hit the road. In fact, I can’t wait!
Oh also, tune in tomorrow morning, because I have a SU-PURE-B announcement to make! Have a great rest of your evening!

I too had a lite Carmel frappuccino this morning from Starbucks. I could use another one right now.
Man I haven’t had a frapp in too too long.
Love holiday decorations! It’s so early for Halloween though!!!
WHOA! that ice cream cake looks UN -BE- LIEVE-ABLY!
Whoa…Halloween decorations?! That is crazy! But Halloween is probably my 2nd fave holiday. Candy and costumes? Yes, please!
That cake looks AMAZING.
The girl scout cake sounds so good!! I want some!
Ooh I haven’t had a caramel lite frapp in forever! I used to get them all the time–soooo good
The caramel drizzle was my fave part!
I love love LOVE Halloween, so that’s one Holiday where I won’t gripe about early store decorations showing up. So much fun
thin mint ice cream pie…mmmmm AHMAYZING!
Sounds like a fun day. I love frappucinos… SO good! The thin mint ice cream pie sounds super delicious, too.
Starbucks iced coffee=AMAZING, although I do love Caribou better:) Thin mint ice cream cake, where did you get that, I definetey need one of those! YUM
OMG THAT CAKE!!! Dairy Queen sells those? I need to try one pronto.
And caramel lite frappies are my faaaavorite. That’s weird, because they definitely don’t usually come with whipped cream. But the caramel sauce is to die for, I agree
Before we know it, it’ll be Halloween already!
I’m not fond of mint flavors but that cakes looks irresistible.
I want a bite of that ice cream cake!! LOL
Can’t believe Halloween is less than 3 months away – where has the summer gone?!
Starbucks Frap + Costco + food samples= one FUN Day!!! Lucky girl- sounds like you had a blast!
Silly question – not food/exercise related at all, but where did you find those adorable Halloween decorations?? (I live in WDM also
)
[...] don’t even typically like mint-chocolate combos (except for Thin Mints, Thin Mint Ice Cream Cake and homemade Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, obviously) but these were down right [...]
The ice cream cake is actually from Hy-Vee – a local grocery store!
