Guess who’s got the cleanest kitchen on the block? ME!
Last night I went to town on my kitchen and scrubbed the floors, countertops, table and fridge. Just look at how she sparkles & shines!
Supplies are low because we’re nearing the end of the week – but we’ve got our fruit & vegetable drawers plus bottom shelf, containing bagels, fresh-from-the-field Iowa Sweet Corn (eek, need to use that tonight!) and some watermelon.
Middle shelf containing more yogurt than I could ever eat in a year, almond butter (word!) my massive bag of spinach from Costco and our meat & cheese drawer.
Finally our top shelf with all the fridge randos including: milk, a rouge apple & lime (hey, how’d you guys get out of your drawer?!) assorted beverages, tofu and egg beaters.
I forgot to take a picture of the door, but you know how that goes – condiments, butter, what have you. Now I don’t love to clean, but I do LOVE the feeling of a clean house. It seriously makes EVERYTHING better!!
So – it was already 72 degrees outside when my Mom and I went on our walk this morning! When I got home, I needed something to coooooool off. So I had Mixed Fruit Salad, Lemon Chiffon Yogurt & a CranberryOrange PURE Bar.
What a beautiful salad that was as fresh and cooling as can be.
It had blueberries, strawberries & watermelon. This would be a good sorbet!

And one of the most fun flavors of PURE Bar: CranberryOrange. Fun because it tastes like Fruit Loops! You know how I like my F-loops…
I depleted most of my my veggie stash with lunch today and made another Kitchen Sink Salad.
We’ve got:
- Spinach
- Carrot chips
- Leftover tomatoes & basil
- Radishes (which, holy cow, get SO spicy as they sit! I cut these up on Monday I think, and they are ZIP-PAY today!)
- Cherry tomatoes
- Deli turkey
Ugh look at that little globe of goodness. I heart cherry tomatoes!
It’s gonna be a scorcher today – I’m so glad I got all my baking done last night so I can keep the oven OFF tonight! Have a supah Thursday!

These all came to me at once today, how lucky! Sometimes I have to sit and stew over them…but not today!

My answers:
1. Concealer…genetics were not kind to my under-eye circles! Oh, and this bracelet my Mom gave me
2. I get ready in silence 
When Ben used to go to work before me, I’d listen to the morning news channel, but he gets up after me now so I have to entertain myself!
3. Long term goal: Greece. Short term goal: NYC! I have had the biggest craving to go there lately…ugh I just love it!
1. Something I wear every day … my nosering!
2. I get ready for the day in silence, but I used to listen to iTunes every morning until I moved in w/ the BF and got ready at 5 AM when he was still in college…that kind of nixed THAT habit!
3. I would like to go on vacation anywhere…NYC and DC would be great. I have good friends in both cities that I would like to visit!
I LOVE a clean fridge! My roommate and I have designated shelves…let’s just say, sometimes I give in and clean his (boys!).

I’m with ya – concealer! I found THE best: Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Concealer. Pricey, but so worth it! When I don’t use it, people tell me I look “tired.” Awesome.
2. Do you get ready for the day in silence, to the radio, to the tv, or something else?
Silence.
My roomie gets to sleep in until 9 or 10 everyday, so I don’t wanna wake him. If it were up to me, I’d jam to Brit every morning.
3. Where are you dreaming of going on vacation to next?
I’m HOPEfully going to Key West in April and VEGAS (first time!) for my b-day next June. But one place I would love to go is Italy. It looks absolutely beautiful….and I could eat italian food for every meal and never tire of it.

1. I wear my LOVE ring that I got from my Mom a long time ago, also a ring that I got from Joey. All the really nice stuff. I also wear my Dad’s Cartier watch he gave me for christmas. That never comes off.
2. I usually get ready listening to music, but every once in a while I’ll turn on the TV. Rarely I get ready in silence.
3. I am going to Vancouver in 2 weeks and I’ve always wanted to go!!

1. I wear diamond earring studs pretty much every day of the week, and then may change it up with some dangly earrings for the weekend.

3. Gosh, this question is difficult as there are so many places I want to travel to! I am going to say Croatia. My husband is Croatian and his grandfather was born there. Plus I’ve heard it’s beautiful!

Yeah, the only thing I hate more than the act of cleaning is an unclean house…so clean, I do! (Just wish I could nag someone else to do it!)

3. My parents live in Florida, so that accounts for most of my vacation time. My dream vacation would be back to Italy and Prague, where I left a piece of my heart after my semester abroad.

2. I love the quiet. Our fur-girls break the silence by letting me know every squirrel, car, or ant comes in our yard.

To clean my kitchen top to bottom is on my to do list for the weekend!
Something I wear everything would be my Tiffany pearls to work my boyfriend gave them to me on our first Valentines day and they are perfect for work or play.
I usually have on the Today show when I get ready for work.
My dream vacation would be Greece I really hope I can save up enough to make that happen!
What a sparkly fridge
1. I wear my 3 rings everyday – a silver band I got in Mexico, a Mickey mouse head buckle type of ring I got in Disneyland, and a turquoise ring I got from my grandma. Amazingly, they’re all 4+ years old and I’ve never lost one yet! KNOCK ON WOOD!
2. I usually get ready in silence or with the country music TV station on listening to their music videos.
3. I would LOVE to go to Vegas!! My friends are trying to plan this out. But I’m pretty sure we’re just going up to our cabin next.
1. My hairband on my wrist is always just waiting to be used for that next run or bike ride!
2. The bf usually has us wakeup to ESPN sports talk radio so I listen to that for a bit. Then I turn on the Today show while eating bkfst.
3. My next trip will prob be our trip to Chicago in Nov to see my bf’s brother get married. Otherwise, a camping trip is on the horizon and maybe a day to the Oregon coast to dip our toes in the water and feel the ocean breeze!

my 3 rings… one from my mom – i call it my bling ring, but it’s gorgeous… a unity ring and a sister’s ring.

in silence. haha I’m deaf. so i don’t put my hearing aid or CI on til about 10 am. i used to watch music videos, but now that i live with boyfriend, in silence. or i’ll watch the news when he turns on the tv.

just got back from barcelona spain, i’m hoping my next vacation will be with boyfriend and hoping that’s gonna be greece.

Your clean fridge makes me smile big! Mine is the same way. I am overly obessed with an organized fridge, so much that my husband won’t ever put anything away because he is afraid to put it in the wrong spot.
OMG guess what?!?! I am toally going to Greece this spring. We are in the process of booking a 9 day European cruise and one of the stops is in Greece. I am so thrilled I can’t even put it into words.
