If I Were 17 Again

Hey BB (blog buddies!)

My Saturday night looked like this:

No wait, it gets better…I was at my parent’s house too. YEAH, rockin’ Saturday night for IGE! In all honesty, it was great – 17 Again may be my new favorite movie. I feel like if I was 17 again, I might develop a large Zac Efron problem. He is adorable…and hilarious – who knew?

Ben’s been in Chicago all weekend for a friends bachelor party, which is why I’ve been laying relatively low. Separate time for couples is important, and actually I lived alone for three years and loved every single second of it – but, feel free to roll your eyes, I miss my little buddy! I don’t feel like doing anything when he’s not here! I know, gag.

The bright side of him being in Chi-town is that he is bringing me Trader Joe GOODIES!!! SCORE. Score big time.

For breakfast this morning I had a wedge of the Krytonite Zucchini Bread. Yes, this bread has officially reached kryptonite status. I’m going back over to my parent’s house for lunch today and am taking the rest with me. There’s no doubt in my mind that I will eat the entire loaf if I keep it here, and well, nobody wants to see that…

This stuff is like a fine wine – it gets better everyday!

On the agenda for the rest of the day:

  • Water my plants
  • Grocery shop
  • Lunch at parents house
  • Make tomorrow’s dinner
  • More laundry (maybe)
  • Run

That’s all for now – laaaaaterrrrr!

Do you prefer the corner piece or middle pieces of baked goods?

I am a corner girl through and through. I’m dying to get my hands on this Edge Brownie Pan!

Awwww! Don’t giveaway the zucchini bread you love so much! Slice it up and freeze in individual portions. Easy to grab just a slice when you want one, but frozen so not as “accessible”.

I secretly like it when my hub is away! But, I’m always so excited when he comes home!!! Actually, now that we have kids the time I have with ONLY him seems so rare so it’s a little different than when it was just the 2 of us!

    Hey BB :)

I am TOTALLY a corner person. You get some of the chewie goodness, but then you also get a little taste of the soft middle part. Why would you not opt for the best of both worlds? I have heard about that pan, I need to get my hands on that too!

I can’t wait to hear about what Ben picks up from Trader Joe’s. I need to head over to the one here in Minneapolis, I am running low on a few of my standard goodies I like to have from TJ’s.

    Have fun at the rents’!

I am a middle–gooey girl! I love the softness of the brownies in the middle. I like the corners too–but if I had my pick: dead center of the pan! :)

LOL to that brownie pan!!! I’m an end girl for bread if it’s doughy, but middle for brownies. The ends taste good, but if they’re too dry blech!! I’ve heard such bad things about that movie, but then some people love it! I still want to see it though. Zac Efron baby!! haha

OMG that pan is the best! I love the edges of brownies. I love how they have that slightly crispy taste to them.

When my man is away, I do the exact same thing. I always think it will be nice to have some “me” time but then I just end up sulking because I miss him and I HATE sleeping alone. Funny, how that changes when you gett married because I use to love sleeping alone.

Guess that means we both found our perfect match. ;)

Hi Kristin! Can I just tell you I’m dying to see that movie? Yes, that’s right…I’m 27 years old and I’m literally DYING to see it. How lame am I? I feel way better knowing you saw it and even declared it your new favorite movie though :) I rented sisterhood of the traveling pants – 1 AND 2 – this weekend. Movies for 12 year olds? Yes. And for 27 year olds apparently, too.

Loving that brownie pan – I love the corner pieces of brownies…and the middle…I just love brownies really…

Ok, I really want to see that movie now! I’m thinking of renting it from i-tunes sometime soon. :-)

I’m definitely a middle piece brownie girl. The edges are too crunchy for me. That pan is neat, though!

Crazy coincidence–my friends Tammy and Michael from Ames came to visit me in Chicago this weekend. We all went to the Cubs game and Michael left us to join his friends at a bachelor party. I wonder if it’s the same one Ben attended!? They met up at Murphy’s one hour before the game. They stayed at Embassy Suites in Oakbrook Terrace. If so, small world!

I’ve never seen that pan before! I would love it for brownies and lemon bars where I prefer the corners. YUM. It’s probably best that I don’t have one of those, though since with regular pans, there are only 4 of my favorite pieces.

Your Saturday night looked almost EXACTLY like mine. I was by myself because my hubby was at work, so I decided to rent 17 Again. I think I have a crush on Zac Efron too. ::blush:: A few times throuhout the movie, I was totally wishing I was Vanessa Hudgens. Anyway, really good movie. I enjoyed it.

We aren’t a sneaky shadow govt office…spying on you…but we do a weekly “advanced” web search to see what is going on out there in regards to our pans…and guess what…you sent some traffic to us, so we traced them back to you.

Every so often on a late night night of work, we feel like giving away stuff. Right time and right place. Send us a mailing address (preferably some place you or somebody will be), and we will hook you up with the pan of your dreams (and by “you” we mean the writer of the blog…).

I would highly recommend doing the Kryptonite Bread in our pan. We won’t tell Superman.
