Good morning everyone – happy Friday! I am in a great mood today. Maybe it was the morning Mom walk under the clear, star-filled sky…maybe it is just the fact that it’s Friday…or maybe it’s the Cinnamon Almond Banana Pancakes I had for breakfast!
The playahs:
- 1 serving wheat-blend pancake mix
- dash of cinnamon
- sprinkle of sliced almonds
- 1 mashed banana
- Sugar-free syrup drizzle
I actually mixed up all my dry ingredients last night, so this morning all I had to do was add the mashed banana, some water – and prest-o change-o, I had pancakes!
The whole kitchen smelled like glorious banana bread when these puppies were cooking up.
I just love the crunch from those sliced almonds. They’re so versatile and really make anything you add them to – better!
For lunch today, you guessed it, I packed some of my leftover Turkey Sausage Breakfast Frittata, a Blackberry Creme yogurt and a Bartlett Pear.
Like I always say, the great thing about Frittatas, is that you can eat them hot or cold. I think today I’m going to heat mine up.
Goooorgeous pear…
And some more Blue Bunny yogo! I really liked the Raspberry Acai Berry flavor I tried earlier this week, btw.
Hopefully today goes as quickly as the rest of the week has – I’ve got some house cleaning to take care of tonight before I can relaaaax and get ready for some fun Saturday plans! Have a terrific day everyone!

Check out this video of a guy who decided to finally get in shape by exercising and watching what he ate, (and waxing & tanning!) for an entire year. He tracked his progress by taking a picture of himself everyday. What do you think: Cool or creepy?
While I think this guy got waaay to skinny at one point – hello chest bones! – I think this is a really cool concept. Very motivating to be able to track your progress like that, don’t you think?

pancakes?!?!!!!! mmm. i want pancakes!
per the weight loss video– i think it would be way overly obsessive! couldn’t do it!
I’ve seen that before…its a little bizarre, but an interesting way to stay accountable!
Wow that video is different!
MMM..banana and almond pancakes sound amazing!
And that juicy pear. I just love those in the fall time.
whooooaaa! I think that video is pretty cool, but it was funny watching his hair!
cool and creepy! just goes to show that you may not see changes everyday, but they add up!
ummm pancakes – AMAZING!
I think it’s cool! It’s inspiring to see how much you can change your body in a year. I kept noticing his patterned boxers (maybe fish, or something? white on blue) every few frames. Hehe.
mmm pancakes make any day better in my eyes!
Everyone in the Health Blog community is having pancakes this week, I feel so left out, going to have to have them this week. The video is a bit creepy to me………=O Laura

Those pancakes sound really good. I think pictures are a cool way of tracking progress.
The pancakes look delicious and now I am craving blueberry pancakes.
That is a lil creepy but cool to see the actual transformation. What’s weird though is that the look on his face never changes (other then skinnier and tanner).
Those pancakes sound and looks fantastic. I think the weight loss video is pretty cool. Good for him for getting healthy!
cool AND creepy?
great sounding pancakes, and i need to get some turkey sausage again!
Those pancakes sound awesome
You should try topping your pancakes with apples slices/apple sauce and confectioner’s sugar + cinnamon! It’s sooo yummy and reminds me of Germany.
That is crazy, did he take the pictures every day? It seemed like he really “built” his body how he wanted to – crazy how sometimes you can go beyond genetics and manipulate the appearance of your body. But genetics do put a limit on how far you can take it.

Oh what a cool video. He made a huge change and it was neat to see how he progressed.
must.make.pancakesssss
I think that video is cool! lol the dork in me thinks it’d be kind of fun to try that!
Even though your pancakes look stellar, I am voting all of the above as to why you are in a great mood
I made banana pancakes last night for dinner. I didn’t mash mine up though, I sliced them and mixed them right in. They were DELISH! It added another level of texture and oh so good.
Frittata’s re-heated are surprisingly good. One of those things that in my mind, gets better after a day. Have a wonderful afternoon!
I think the video is super cool! It’s interesting how the muscle definition kind of starts forming up in the chest area then works it’s way down the abs.
those pancakes look AWESOME!
haha definatly a creepy video.. in a cool-kind of- way!???
I think that video was a super cool way to see how his body has transformed over the last year! I wish I’d done that when I lost weight!!
LOVE putting bananas in the hot cakes! Mmm…
I think it’s cool. And a great way for him to track how his progress went over time. Cool to see how working out and being healthy can really change a person!
Pancakes to end the workweek….this should be a tradition!
I indulged in some Friday Pancakes too! Really made my entire day.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead sweetheart!
Okay… what time do you wake up in the mornings?! I can barely make it out before 7am… leaving me only a rushed 45 minutes to make it out the door for work! Maybe I should go to bed earlier instead of staying up late to read your blog
Hee hee.
The video was cool but should have been maybe done weekly as opposed to daily. I wish I would have done something similiar; I lost 120lbs two years ago and sometimes its hard to recall how I got from Point A to Point B.
I think it is cool video. Great reminder for yourself to see how far you’ve come. I don’ think I would post it up for the world to see tho.
Wooooah that was super weird! But awesome to see such a transformation. There was like one point in time when BAM his abs appeared ripped! haha.
That video is totally crazy! I can see the difference in progress photos of my own but I could totally see how this could be motivating. And make you realize what the highs and lows were (ie him getting too skinny).
