Weeell, I’m pretty sure you saw this coming: Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal for breakfast!
Ben was out with work people last night, so I got the whoooole batch to myself, muwahahaha!
I covered the second portion up with foil last night and stuck it in the fridge. This morning, I nuked for several minutes and was enjoying piping-hot, pumpkiny bliss in no time! I love pumpkin pie oats. Officially. Stamp it .
As planned, I packed The Best Salad Ever for lunch today.
In the mix:
- Mixed Greens
- Bluebs
- Rasps
- Cherry toms
- Cauli
- Carros
Stamp this as well – just look at those colors! Dressing = Parmesan Asiago Balsamic Vinaigrette. Should.Be.Fabulous!!
So I’m deeming Fridays “Fun Fact Fridays” from now on. I’ll be force feeding you fun facts about me, food, health, running, travel…or whatever I feel like sharing that day! I do hope you enjoy
Today’s fun fact: Ben and I have known each other since Kindergarten.
It’s true, we were eyeing each other even as little tykes! I have a picture of our kindergarten class – you know, the one you get every year of your class and everyone’s little heads? I’m in the top right hand corner, he’s in the bottom left hand corner!
We were semi-friends in high-school and hung around the same group of people, but alas, he always had a girlfriend
Fast forward to the summer before our senior year in college, Ben was single, so was I and 4 years later, we were married!
~~~~~
What’s the longest relationship you’ve ever been in?
You two are so freaking cute!
The longest relationship I’ve ever been in was 3 years. We’ve been broken up for almost two, but we are actually still friends. Not super tight friends, but we’ve raced together and keep in touch. We go out randomly for a drink sometimes too. I’ve had one other “relationship” since then, but for the most part I’ve been single for 2 years! Booo!! You guys are adorable!!
I’m dating my boyfriend for 8 years now!
love your pretty salad and fall theme breakfast!
have a nice day!
I have yet to find anything with pumpkin I don’t like. Aww…what a cute story. Isn’t it funny how things eventually work out? Do off and on relationships count because I’ve had one for about 5 years. Long enough for me.
My fiance and I have been together for 7 years and are getting married in June (finally!!)
That salad is beautiful! I love all of the colors!
My longest relationship is with my husband. We have been together a little over three years. Before that, I wasn’t so hot with relationships!
I love the mix of veggies and fruit in my salads.
You and Ben are adorable
. Mike and I have been together almost two years now. We knew each other for about two years before we started dating, but we also were always in relationships too.
I’m getting the urge to watch The Notebook after this question!
You are the most beautiful and classy bride… just Gorgeous. I love reading your blog and trying your great recipes and ideas! Thanks
Have a great weekend!
Aww that is such a sweet story about you and Ben. It was meant to be
My husband and I met in 2000, just two months after we started our freshman year of college. We were together 5 years before we got engaged and got married at year 7. This year (just Tuesday!) marks our two year wedding anniversary and December 7th will mark 9 years from our first date – which I asked him on! I guess I’m not supposed to keep counting from our first date but after just shy of decade with someone you have to recognize!
you are a seriously STUNNING bride! love this fact. and love pumpkin pie oatmeal. that combo is a winner
Love the pumpkin oatmeal – I’m going to have to try that one!
My husband and I have been together for 15 years now – married for 12. Definitely the longest relationship I’ve ever had, but we are happier today than we were back then! It just keeps getting better and better!
oooh – will you post more wedding pics?! You look gorgeous and I LOVE your dress!! I love your story – such a sappy story person right here.
I NEED to try those oats!! It’s on my list to buy THREE cans of pumpkin at the grocery store.
I’ve been together with my husband now for five years. That’s pretty cool that you met your hubby in Kindergarten!
I never was a relationship girl…but two years is as long as I could make it. Unfortunatly threw bad circumstances and me leaving on a whim, he lives in Iowa and I’m in Minnesota. Lame:(
awww the two of you are so adorable!
i always wanted that love story! teheheh!
the salad you made seriously makes me happy! the colors are so pretty! sometimes when i’m making mine,i think about what i can put in there to make it more colorful and not so green! haha
Aww that’s really sweet that you met him in kindergarten
I love mixing fruits and veggies in salad. But you can keep the cauliflower. For some reason I can’t eat the little bleached trees no matter how they are prepared.
I moved around ALOT as a kid so I don’t have a lot of long term friends or relationship. I do kind of keep in touch with a girl I knew from second grade on but that is sporatic. My longest romantic relationship is with Hunni. We met the first day of seminary, got married the week after graduation and have been married a year+.
BTW you and Ben are ADORABLE!
Aww… I must try the pumpkin oatmeal.
You guys are so flipping cute. That totally gives me hope.
My longest relationship was just shy of 4 years and it actually just ended less than a month ago. It was kind of mutual? We want to be good friends again. I have a feeling we’re not going to be out of each other’s lives for good.
It’s a good break though because I’ve been perpetually in a relationship for 10 years (and I’m only 24). This is the longest I’ve been single. Ever (other than the 14 years before I got a *real* boyfriend). It’s been a little over 3 weeks (and 1 week since I’ve talked to him) and I’m finally figuring out who I am. No boys for me. Just me, some good friends and possibly a dog.
Now that you have an open can of pumpkin, you MUST try some in a green monster! Use your usual recipe and add 1/4 to 1/3 cup pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon. It’s like creamy pumpkin pie in a glass!
I’ve only been married for 2 1/2 months but my husband and I have known each other for 8 years and we dated for 4 years before getting married. It’s been great!
Cute wedding pictures by the way!
Ya’ll are so cute! I am 27 and still don’t feel ready for marriage :/ Although if it were to be anyone then my current boyfriend is most def THE ONE…!
Love the pumpkin oat replay – yum!!!
I know you only posted about this oatmeal last night but I already made it! …and you were right, I LOVED it. Alex liked it too – Thanks! {P.S. I loved it so much that I did a post about it!}
gahh. your dinner last night.. and todays breakfast looks to.die.for.
I may have to make this.
Oh yum
Beautiful photos by the way! you are STUNNING! <3
Awww! That’s SO cute. I LOVE hearing success stories about people who have been dating since they were young. Me and my boyfriend have been together for 4.5 years (since I was 16) but we’ve KNOWN each other since we were 5 and 6 years old! We were actually never even interested in each other until high school!
What a cute fun fact! My longest relationship has been with my hubby. We dated for 4 1/2 years and have been married for almost 2.
Pumpkin Oatmeal……yum! And, that salad is to die for! I am so making it SOON! Such cute pictures, you are an adorable couple. The longest for me is 5 years so far with my husband of “3″ years, (2 years together before marriage)! =) Laura
eeks, so cute (the pics and your story)! Longest relationship i’ve been in..9 months, the one i’m in currently. And he’s a keeper for sure! FINALLY!
Hi Kristin,
From when we started dating until we got divorced, I was with my ex-husband for 5 yrs. We’re still great friends. I had a 4-yr. relationship while in college & a 2-yr one in high school.
You were a beautiful bride! Enjoyed hearing you & Ben’s story.
You and Ben are so cute! I can’t believe you knew each other in Kindergarten – that’s precious.
Hi! I married my husband after two years of dating. It was a long-distance relationship, so we were ‘forced’ into a long courtship. Wouldn’t trade it for the world!
And thank you for the email the other day; I love your blog the more I read it.
