DID YOU SEE THE IOWA GAME LAST NIGHT?! Iowa won with a touchdown pass in the last two seconds of the game – unbelievable!! This is the first time in the school’s history that the team’s been 8-0…which makes me nervous. Success like this makes me nervous. Does success ever make you nervous?
So how was your weekend? I can’t believe it’s Sunday afternoon already – where did the time go? Ben and I got up bright and early today to have breakfast over at my parent’s house with my brother and sister-in-law. Look what we were greeted with when pulling out of our driveway – a RAINBOW!
For breakfast, my parents picked up some still-warm, Panera bagels. Among the selection were some of those Pink Ribbon Bagels that we had at yesterday’s Race for the Cure. Seriously guys, these are so yummy!
We also had some warm and hearty Breakfast Casserole.
Cheese, bread, sausage, eggs & potatoes – what’s not to love?
Perfect for a dreary, Fall morning.

Oh, remember those mini pumpkins & gourds I saw at the Farmer’s Market yesterday? My Mom had gotten a bunch of them a couple weeks ago and made a pretty little Fall arrangement!
She even threw a hedgeapple in there, so not only is the arrangement beautiful, but it also keeps the buggies away – nice!
After eating and catching up, guess who decided to come out and play? My nephew Finn! That hat is just too much – he is so cute!!
We snuggled
And played!
The whole family was crowded around Finn on a blanket on the floor, trying to get him to smile.
We never got a full one out of him, but it didn’t matter – we’re content just looking at him!
Precious little boy
Ok, I realize that looking of babies you don’t know probably isn’t all that exciting…but 3/$1 Bags of Dole Salad are! After breakfast, Ben and I went grocery shopping and I was just blown away at this sale. I mean, what?!

Do you grocery shop every week, or make big trips every other week or so?

Success does make me nervous, at times. My Broncos are 6-0, which is beyond amazing to imagine, considering all the post-season drama that ensued this year. Undefeated is beautiful and scary at the same time.
Finn is cuter every time you share photos, percious:)
What a great amount of loot you got, I would have bought 5 bags of salad lettuces too, think of all the green monsters you can now make:)
Congrats to the Iowa team…I was watching it last night with a girl I met who graduated from there at a sports bar. I was more concerned about my Longhorns though…did you see that game?!
I grocery shop… every day? haha. Probably not far from the truth. I just go out for the 1 or 2 things I need. I like the walk to break up the day
What a beautiful baby!!
I need to work on my food shopping! I need to plan more… I make too many trips during the week!
Have a great night!
Aw, Finn’s getting so big! I love watching him grow up via your blog!
Your nephew is so sweet!! I got one of those Ribbon Bagels from Panera after a 5k a couple weeks ago and loved it! Probably one of the best bagels I’ve ever had!!
I tend to go to the grocery store once a week, occasionally twice just to pick up some things that I’ve run out of like fruit.
WOW that is a crazy sale!! I would’ve stocked up too!
What a cutie patooty he is!!
Amazing Sales – I would have gone crazy too!
I tend to go grocery shopping every week – some weeks are bigger trips then others though!
Finn is adorable! I grocery shop at least once a week. Gotta get that fresh produce!
More baby pictures! He’s so adorable!! As for 3/1 salad mixes, you don’t know how jealous I am. I just bought the tiniest bag for 3.99, and doing so made my heart sink
I tend to go crazy on sales too. Our Dole Salad were 2/$4 for the huge bags when normally they are $3 each. I bought two and plan on buying more later this week. I tend to go nuts on sales if it something I know I’ll use. I love the dented bin to stock up on cans. I use a lot of beans and tomatoes so I stock up when they are cheap.
Wow! That is a great deal on bagged lettuce… why did I shop at Dahl’s today?! I spent that on ONE bag! I might have to make a stop at HyVee tomorrow to see if it’s still going on…
Hey I noticed in your picture of groceries that it looks like all dinner and lunch items. What do you usually buy for breakfast foods?
I usually grocery shop every week…or I try to.
