I slept in today! (ahhh – angels singing!)
My alarm went off at 5:05 to get up for my morning Mom walk, but I just…couldn’t. You know the feeling! So I texted “skip” to my Mom and hit the snooze button. Forty-five glorious minutes later, I woke up feeling so good. 
A lot of times hitting the snooze button just isn’t worth it – sleeping in for an extra 15 minutes isn’t going to make me feel anymore rested and I could be getting stuff done. However, I feel like 45 minutes definitely makes a difference! How many times do you hit the snooze button every morning?
Breakfast is quick and dirty, as they say. A Sampler Style Breakfast.

Look at those apple chunks! This is one of my favorite bars, purely (ha – purely) for the texture.
And to round things out – a nice Lemon Cream Torte AE Yogurt.
I was actually kind of sad that I didn’t think to mix some yogurt with oatmeal last night, to re-create yesterday’s breakfast. It was that good! Oh well, this way I can eat them all separate – I’m actually saving the PURE Bar for later. 10:00, most likely.
Lunch shall be the perfect meal, in my opinion…Homemade Chicken Soup and a Honeycrisp Apple.
The funny thing about this soup is that it tastes exactly the same, every time I make it. I know that’s the point of a recipe – but it’s just funny how the taste never varies. I love that because everytime I eat it, I’m instantly transported to my Grandma’s house (it’s her recipe!)
Honeycrisps were on sale at Target yesterday, so dear old Ben made sure to pick me up the biggest ones he could find!
Check out that sticker… This past weekend, my friends and I determined that we hate ladybugs. It feels wrong to say that, but during our freshman year in college there was a ladybug plague on campus. You would literally have 20 of them stuck on your shirt after being outside for mere minutes! There were a ton of them flying around in Iowa City during tailgating, which rekindled our feelings of resentment… 
Well, I Tweeted yesterday that I think I might be ready to start listening to Christmas music! I usually wait until Thanksgiving to start indulging in those sweet, sweet tunes but I’ve been listening to Michael Buble (I know) on Pandora a lot lately, and his music always reminds me of Christmas! Do you listen to Christmas music? When you do you usually start?

Kristin, I swear, I know I love your blog for your awesome recipes and pictures, but I’ve always thought we would be friends if we had met another way. Now today I’m sure of it.
Yesterday I was listening to Michael Buble on Pandora after I decided not to listen to Christmas music. I’m ready too, but always wait until Thanksgiving to try to enjoy each holiday….Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas for what each offers.

I don’t blame you for hating lady bugs! My freshman year at OU we had a massive cricket infestation. You couldn’t take a step without squishing a cricket. Ew!

I’m not really a huge Christmas music fan. I’m not sure why. I do love Christmas and Christmas decorations and I can’t wait to decorate! I think we are going to try to wait until after Thanksgiving.

that IS the perfect meal for lunch because today happens to be national chicken soup for the soul day! did you know that or is it totally coincidental? awesome. i press snooze at least 4 times (5 min between) but the thing is.. i am not getting good rest while pressing snooze so i should really train myself to just get up and start the day.. then i wouldn’t always be running late and i would be the same amount of tired as i am when i do press snooze for 20 min! have a great day girl!

I LOVE Christmas music and I usually start listening to it at Thanksgiving, but this year I decided to start this week! I’m listening to it on Pandora right now, at work. Love it.

We had a “ladybug” plague at my college too….that’s when I found out they aren’t lady bugs at all! The bugs that you see in swarms on buildings, etc. are actually some sort of “Asian Beetle”….they are more orange in color, whereas a true lady bug is red:) So maybe you can like ladybugs again, just hate those beetles!! They sting too!
As for Christmas music, I like to start right after Halloween when it usually starts playing on Milwaukee radio stations…this year they haven’t started yet:(
