Hey guys!
Tonight, Iowa Boy Eats was in the kitchen! On the menu: Grilled Ham & Pineapple Salsa.
The minute he told me what were were having, I thought of this classic Seinfeld clip…salsaaaahhhh! For a good laugh, play seconds :08-:11 a good four or five times. Hilarious!!
Ahh…love me a good Seinfeld clip.
Love me some grilled pineapple, too! Ben simply drained a can of pineapple rings and lightly grilled them alongside a lean, ham steak.
Then he chopped them up and added the chunks to the last of our Graddy’s Fresh Salsa – pretty clever!
I topped a 4oz portion of some lean, grilled ham steak with a whole pineapple ring and a generous portion of pineapple salsa. Unbelievable!
The smokey, salty ham was complimented so well by that spicy, sweet salsa. Go Ben!
Go Ben x2 for including some fresh veggies with dinner: Steamed Broccoli.
Fork tender and oh-so fresh.

Ben’s getting so good in the kitchen that a dedicated tab has been requested…hmmm…we’ll see what we can work out.
I definitely saved some room in order to sample my new Trader Joe’s goodies tonight!
Mini Vanilla Meringues:
1 meringue = 1 calorie!
These are super sweet, so you really only need a few.
I paired them with a few pieces of Australian Licorice.
I’m rationing this pack – I finished the last one far too quickly!!
After this – the kitchen is closed.
FYI – the alternative title to this post was “Hold Me Closer Tony Danza” because Ben has been singing that song all evening and I can’t get it out of my head…
AFYI: I’m answering emails tonight! If you’ve emailed me in the last week without a response (I know) you should get one tonight!
Have a good one!

What was or is your favorite sitcom?
I have a soft spot for Friends!

….and now I have that song in my head. Thanks!
Favorite sitcom….was probably Friends. Now….I have a hard time choosing between Modern Family (new and awesome), How I Met Your Mother, and Big Bang Theory. Oh and Couger Town is coming on strong. Darn, I watch too much TV.
‘Seinfeld’ is my top pick!
The Office is definitely my pick
hi,
made your butternut squash ravioli the other night. Three out of four people in my family loved them (the fourth is a teenager, and would never admit if he liked something). It is the perfect fall food.
It took two weeks: squash baked while I raked a few weekends ago. When I was tired of raking, it was time to fold ravioli. Then one busy weeknight, I cooked them up. Yum!
I love it when Ben cooks! He is quite the chef these days. SO cute!
Haha, hubby is watching Curb Your Enthuiasm right now and its an episode that’s full of Seinfield flashbacks. Love Seinfield but my favorite sitcom of all time is probably Friends too.
I just caught up on your weekend. Wow girl, what an incredible shopping weekend. The stores, the eats, the fun! Awesome!
Hope you have a great short week hun!
Seinfeld is a classic… it’s hard to top it!
I have to go with Friends and Will & Grace. I love the classics!
My favorite sitcoms are The Office, Scrubs and I always enjoy an episode of Golden Girls.
Those grilled pineapple look delish! Very juicy.
We love Seinfeld and The Office.
Friends is a classic, but I also love The Golden Girls like another poster, and I am a sucker for Everybody Loves Raymond. The parents are a riot in that one!!!
Not much of a pineapple girl, but I’m totally trying your egg drop soup later this week!
The grilled pineapple looks amazing! I’m a huge fan of those cute lil TJ’s meringues, too
I love love loved Friends and Seinfeild, but nothing beats Scrubs.
I just watched Friends tonight for the first time in forever. I forget how much I love it – it’s so comforting to me!
I never really liked Seinfeld but that was a funny clip. I just didn’t like the idea of a show about nothing.
My favorite sitcom was always Friends. I actually just watched two episodes at the gym while doing the calorie scortcher you posted about.
Wow that grilled pineapple looks insane! I especially love it served alongside broccoli:)
You always post the best clips!
Love that Seinfeld clip! My favorite sitcoms are definitely Seinfeld & Friends. It’s no coincidence that one of my favorite tv channels is TBS
What a great Ben meal! It looks delish.
Seinfeld! I am also partial to Roseanne and THe Big Bang THeory
Seinfeld & Friends are all time faves, but I think I’ve had more LOL moments watching The Office. New Adventures of Old Christine is right up there, too. Modern Family is a really good new one.
Yes, more “Ben’s Corner”! Can’t wait for the “crazy” stuff I like to eat too.
думаю стоило бы выделить некоторые моменты и рассказать подробнее..
