Good morning – happy Saturday!
WHEW. The past couple days have been amazing! It’s so nice to escape from the reality of life, a job, etc. – even for a few days – and just do what you want. You know? For the past two days, I’ve run errands when I wanted, seen movies when I wanted, hung out with my family when I wanted. This kind of stuff doesn’t happen often, so I am completely relishing it while it lasts.
I must come back down to reality for a little while it least, this morning, and get some cleaning done in this pig sty that is masquerading as my home!
First – breakfast. Fruit & Yogurt Parfait!
In the mix:
- Raspberry Vanilla AE Yogurt
- 1 sliced banana
- Erin Baker Oatmeal Raisin Granola
This morning I woke up feeling like I needed to shovel as much fruits and vegetables into my body as I could, also thanks to doing whatever I’ve wanted the past couple of days! Seeing as how the only fresh fruit we have in the house right now is bananas – I did what I could.
And it was good…
Munch, crunch, slurp.
So like I said, I’ve got to get my clean/organization on! To do list:
- Vacuum whole house
- Organize kitchen
- Laundry
- Organize mail
- Play with new camera (hey, how’d that get in there!)
Ben and I are going to go hang out with his family this afternoon for a belated “Thanksgiving”. Family time is the best time!
OH! And if I manage to find a hidden hour today, I’m going to be making something that involves bananas, sweet potatoes and the oven. I have no idea how it’s going to turn out, but I’m excited to try!!!!
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go figure out how to make time stand still, so this weekend will last forever. Happy Saturday!

What’s the last thing you baked?

I baked a new cookie recipe yesterday–happily it came out great.
I saw a rachael ray sweet potato with bruleed banana recipe that looked awesome
I baked some cupcakes on Thursday. They are already gone!
The last thing that I baked was jube-jube cake (I know, it sounds gross but I swear it’s not)… it’s a dense bready type of cake. Banana bread type. So delicious. My boyfriend actually didn’t like it at all (he’s not a candy-feen like I am), but my co-workers seemed to enjoy it! I even posted the recipe on my site last night.
I may have missed it, but what kind of new camera did you get? I am in the market for one also!! The last thing I baked were those yummy PB cookies from your recipe, or as I call them Cookie Crack! Haha!
The last thing I baked was a pumpkin pie! It was amazing if I say so myself!
Cinnamon raisin peanut butter cookies w/ agave yesterday!!!
A magnolias cup cake recipe, tons of powdered sugar in the recipe. I love those cupcakes like mcadams loves gosling.
I keep meaning to tell you, I made the peanut butter cookies from the Pillsbury contest for coffee tasting that I hosted at work. They were a hit, especially the cinnamon sugar with the spicy Starbucks Komodo Dragon coffee from Indonesia. Thanks for the inspiration
My house is in a constant state of disarray unitl Christmas. We straighten up but there is not time for real cleaning until after the holidays with all our work.
The last thing I baked was spaghetti squash…no really they were whole wheat oatmeal raisin cookies.
Last thing I baked was a pumpkin pie on Weds. Oh, I did roast a turkey on Thursday, too!
Here is our family pie recipe:

Hi, I was just wondering where you got your stocking holders from, they are sooo cute???
Thanks
The last thing I baked was a batch of cocoa-roasted nuts! Wait, does that count as baking? I’ll be doing a lot more baking in the next few weeks, though!
