Howdy!
This day has stretched on foreeeever (love that!) – I can’t believe it’s not even 4:00 yet! I got up at 8am and despite my best intentions to hit the gym…I watched shows on house flipping for 2 hours instead.
FYI I used to want to flip houses. I even bought books about it, see?
Yep, they’re tucked in there amongst my books about traveling the world, Japan and even starting a home based personal chef business – which I would still LOVE to do someday!
In between shows I made a pretty tasty breakfast: Scrambled Eggs & Toast. Very “Saturday,” no?
That’s two slices of 7-grain bread – one smeared with homemade raspberry preserves.
And a tasty scramble with 1 egg + 2 egg whites and a dash of hot sauce. Topped with a wee bit of cheese, natch!
Soul satisfying.
A little while later, Ben and I hit the mall. Mission: find new foundation was underway! I stopped at Sephora first, but after dealing with some less than helpful employees, I went next door to Bare Essentials. They had me at hello!
What makes bareMinerals so special?
“We use only the finest quality ingredients in our products to give you everything you want without anything your skin doesn’t need. Our proprietary bareMinerals formula represents the ideal mix of makeup and skincare; problem-solving cosmetics that perfect and pamper the complexion. It’s makeup so pure you can sleep in it.
And because that’s how we think, you’ll never find anything that’s not healthy, natural or good for you in our products. What’s not in bareMinerals is just as important as what’s in them. Less is more.”
The girl who I worked with was SO helpful and honestly after she made me up, I felt like I had no makeup on at all, yet the coverage is amazing!
I purchased the Starter Kit.
Which comes with everything you see here:
- Brush cleaner
- 3 different kinds of brushes
- 2 shades of bareMinerals foundation
- 1 bronzer/highlighter
- 1 finishing powder
All for $60!
Well worth it, I think! I’ll let you know how it performs when I have it on for a full day.
Ben and I are heading to an early dinner this evening, but while we were out we stopped at our faaavorite local deli – B&B – and picked up a Dad’s Killer Sandwich to share.
A Dad’s Killer consists of roast beef, turkey breast, smoked ham, corned beef, pepper cheese, Swiss cheese, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, Kosher pickles and Tuscan Italian dressing on an Italian hoagie roll. Aka – it is to die for and is even more delicious than it looks. I could eat 15 of these!!!
I settled for 1/4. I don’t want to spoil my dainty appetite. (riiiight.)
omg looking at these pictures is making me want another one! Must move on!
Like I said, Ben and I are heading out to an early dinner here in about an hour. We’re not sure where to go though. We want to try something new, but there’s sooo many choices! Perhaps Urban Spoon can help us out?!
Decisions, decisions!
Have a great night everybody!
