What’s up, what’s up!?
My medicine is kicking in – whew! The first day’s dosage comes with an “immediate relief” pill which, thankfully, is immediately relieving my dry, scratchy throat. The only thing is that my allergies are out of control today. Like, almost gone through an entire box of Kleenex, out of control. Perhaps TMI – so I’ll move on!
Around 12:00 I snacked on a toasted Deli Thin with, what else, almond butter!
Do you have to perfectly swirl spreads on breads, crackers, etc.? I have this thing where I like to have nicely smeared swirls when using jam, almond butter, pumpkin butter, etc. It’s like having to have straight lines in the carpet after you vacuum. What can I say – I’m a very visual person! (with a little OCD mixed in!)
At any rate, it’s been grey and rainy today – perfect conditions for a movie day.
I popped in Funny People which ended up being totally different than I thought it would be!

Absolutely LOVE the people in this movie – it’s got the two little girls from Knocked Up! – but I wouldn’t classify this as a straight up comedy. It’s dark, funny, sad, quirky and cute, all wrapped into one big bundle. Definitely worth renting. Oh, but prepare yourself to devote a good chunk of time to it. The movie ran 2.5 hours! I didn’t mind as I had noooowhere to be.
Well, I did have to be in the kitchen for a little bit as I was baking batches of coooOOOookies as I watched!
I haven’t come up with a name for these cookies that fully describes their intense awesomeness…but let me tell you that the recipe incorporates milk chocolate chips and butterscotch chips AND Heath toffee bits!!!
OMG!
I literally grew blue hair and googly eyes after making these. This was me around 2:00…

HA – no seriously, these were one of the best cookies I’ve ever had – chewy toffee, melty chocolate and rich butterscotch. UNREAL! Recipe to come soon, don’t fret.
Well I think I might just cash another movie tonight – it’s what you do when you’re sick, you know? Ben and I were going to get a Domino’s Pizza for dinner – apparently they’ve re-figured their recipe?! – but after all those cookies, I seriously want to eat fruit and, like, cucumbers or something. We’ll see!!
Talk soon!
