Cookie Monster

What’s up, what’s up!?

My medicine is kicking in – whew! The first day’s dosage comes with an “immediate relief” pill which, thankfully, is immediately relieving my dry, scratchy throat. The only thing is that my allergies are out of control today. Like, almost gone through an entire box of Kleenex, out of control. Perhaps TMI – so I’ll move on!

Around 12:00 I snacked on a toasted Deli Thin with, what else, almond butter!

Do you have to perfectly swirl spreads on breads, crackers, etc.? I have this thing where I like to have nicely smeared swirls when using jam, almond butter, pumpkin butter, etc. It’s like having to have straight lines in the carpet after you vacuum. What can I say – I’m a very visual person! (with a little OCD mixed in!)

At any rate, it’s been grey and rainy today – perfect conditions for a movie day. :D I popped in Funny People which ended up being totally different than I thought it would be!

Absolutely LOVE the people in this movie – it’s got the two little girls from Knocked Up! – but I wouldn’t classify this as a straight up comedy. It’s dark, funny, sad, quirky and cute, all wrapped into one big bundle. Definitely worth renting. Oh, but prepare yourself to devote a good chunk of time to it. The movie ran 2.5 hours! I didn’t mind as I had noooowhere to be. :)

Well, I did have to be in the kitchen for a little bit as I was baking batches of coooOOOookies as I watched!

I haven’t come up with a name for these cookies that fully describes their intense awesomeness…but let me tell you that the recipe incorporates milk chocolate chips and butterscotch chips AND Heath toffee bits!!!

OMG!

I literally grew blue hair and googly eyes after making these. This was me around 2:00…

HA – no seriously, these were one of the best cookies I’ve ever had – chewy toffee, melty chocolate and rich butterscotch. UNREAL! Recipe to come soon, don’t fret. :)

Well I think I might just cash another movie tonight – it’s what you do when you’re sick, you know? Ben and I were going to get a Domino’s Pizza for dinner – apparently they’ve re-figured their recipe?! – but after all those cookies, I seriously want to eat fruit and, like, cucumbers or something. We’ll see!!

Talk soon!

Cookie dough is the best! Clearly grandma was wrong about the “it’ll make you sick” mumbo jumbo. I probably eat 3 cookies worth of dough before I’m done! I usually set aside a bit for making homemade cookie dough blizzards too =)

I can’t wait to hear what you think about the new Domino’s pizza. I loved their old pizza though, so hopefully it isn’t too different!

    Glad you’re feeling better.

The cookie dough is the best part. As for Domino’s, I think I am the only person in the world that liked their old recipe. It was my favorite delivery pizza! I’m so mad that they changed the recipe, even though I only order pizza a few times a year.

I’m a very visual person too so I make perfect swirls in my condiments on bread.

I used to eat the cookie dough before finding out I’m super sensitive to sugar and can’t make cookies :0(

Of course I eat cookie dough. I know it’s dangerous with the raw egg…but just a little taste can’t hurt?

hahaha, I love your obsession with perfect swirls – I’ve never thought about it before but now I’m going to have spreading OCD ;) And I TOTALLY agree that adding butterscotch and/or health really really amps up a chocolate chip cookie! have you ever added peanut butter chips as well? also produces the desired effect

OMG, I grew blue hair just reading this post LOL. They look AMAZING!!!

I don’t care about the lines with PB/jams etc. but it does have to cover the bread or cracker evenly or else it’s ALL wrong! haha Gotta love OCD tendencies. ;)

Those cookies seriously look awesome!! I am the person that likes the cookie dough more than the cookie! I always have to have a pep talk with myself before making cookies so I don’t eat all the cookie dough!!

Good movie! Did you know the two little girls you are talking about are Judd Apatow’s daughters? And the woman is his wife?

I like the new Domino’s, especially the crust. Garlic… yum.

Can’t wait to try those cookies.
