Oh my goodness! My family makes this dish all the time…it is always a hit at our get-togethers. I had always thought my family was weird because we disguised our fruit with candy, but I guess we’re not the only ones :)

How interesting! I love all the ingredients…if you could somehow add peanut butter, I’d be in Heaven. By the way, I made your mom’s Kentucky Derby Pie last night and it was aaaa-mazing! Definately a keeper.

A good tip is to freeze your snickers so you can chop them easier.

This has to be an Iowan recipe. I have several Iowa family members who bring this to Thanksgiving or Easter. It’s right up there with Jell-o salads when it comes to Traditional Iowa food.

It’s funny to see all the comments of people who have never heard of this as it was a staple at all high school sports potlucks while growing up — must be a Midwest thing. So glad it is too — because it’s delicious :)

A variation of this recipe also includes vanilla pudding mix. It is so very delicious!

This is for sure an Iowa treat. I grew up in Iowa and when I moved to Washington no one had a clue what Snickers Salad was. I made it once and no I have to make it once to twice a year.
