Hello!
Fab.Sat. so far! I woke up and hit the gym – the chips and dip from potluck past were calling for a good sweat sesh. At a 1% treadmill incline and with 5lb weights, I completed:
- 15 minutes elliptical, level 4
- Upper body circuit, 15 reps each exercise
- 15 minutes treadmill, 6.0 mph
- Upper body circuit, 15 reps each exercise
- 15 minutes elliptical, level 5
- Upper body circuit, 15 reps each exercise
- 15 minutes treadmill, 6.2 mph
- 5 minute treadmill sprint, 7.0 mph
- 2 minute treadmill cool down, 3.5 mph
- Total distance: 6.75 miles
Ugh – this was JUST what I needed – a chance to sweat out all that salt from yesterday! I went in feeling like a balloon, and left feeling much better.
I’ve really come to enjoy Saturday workouts. I usually think of the weekends as my time to kick back and relax, but really, the weekends are when I have all the uninterrupted time in the world to spend there. I like it!
Needless to say, I was starving when I got home (I didn’t think I’d ever feel hungry again after yesterday!!) so I made exactly what I was craving. A big and juicy Fruit Salad!
We’ve got mixed greens,
Navel orange,
Pink Lady apple,
Two kiwis (one super sour, one super sweet!),
Dried cranberries,
and sliced almonds,
All drizzled with Annie’s Lite Raspberry Vinaigrette!
I don’t think you have to use your imagination too hard to understand how delicious this was!
Layers of fresh fruit, crunchy almonds and that fabulous raspberry vinaigrette. I LOVE THIS SALAD!
It is an absolutely gorgeous day out today
so I’m going to go run some errands and ENJOY it!! Oh, and perhaps put this bad boy to good use.
Catch ya’ later!

I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate all the workouts you post. I use them a lot to keep my workouts different. Especially on cross training days.
And I use the gym to sweat out salt filed days too.
Wow-that salad looks fabulous! So colorful and nutritious. Those are the best kind!
That salad looks beautiful!
This salad looks incredible! I love fruit way more than veggies, so I’ll have to try this sometime!
Wow – awesome workout and awesome lunch! What a beautiful colourful salad – I always try and pack my lunches with as much colour as possible too
Have a good afternoon!
Your workout sounds awesome!
That salad is so colorful and lovely.

What a gorgeous salad!
I like your cardio/strength circuit. Is there a theory behind it?
Oh my god your salad looks amazing!
You always make the most AMAZING salads!!! And, the fruit ones look SO GOOD, I have to make one soon, just wish dried cranberries & almonds weren’t so dang pricey……..=(
That salad looks fab! I never think to put fruit salad over greens, but I always have spinach in the house, so I’ll have to try it. I’ll have to add some sliced almonds, too – those look great!
Great job on the workout!
K
You just reminded me I have two kiwis left
