Good morning!
I’m kicking things off with some Cheerios. From a big box. A REALLY big box!
Because two people need 2.5 lbs of Cheerios…clearly.
Costco rules for stuff like this though, because cereal doesn’t go stale all that quickly, and it’s such a bargain for how much you get!
I’m actually taking my O’s to-go, so I poured some unsweetened vanilla almond breeze into a tupperware container to pour on later and packed a banana to slice in.
Adding this banana is going to be hard, actually. I have a weird thing with not being able to eat them if they have spots. They make me gag for some reason! Usually they’re destined for the freezer at the mere hint of browning, but I decided to push past my issues this morning.
This was the last of my almond milk too – I need to replenish ASAP! I’m completely an almond milk convert, by the way. I was never a big cow’s milk drinker to begin with, but stayed away from it even more so because it made me feel so yuck. Not almond milk though. It’s great!
Oh, and the combo of dried cranberries, sliced almonds and Cheerios that I tried last weekend was so Heavenly, I had to recreate.
You may be asking yourself – ‘isn’t it just easier to buy cereal that already has the nuts and fruits mixed in?’
For me, it’s no pain at all because I always have almonds and dried fruit on hand for topping salads with. Plus, cereals that have added nuts and fruit are also usually sweetened with added sugar. Have you ever seen the ingredient list in raisin bran? The #4 & 5 ingredients are sugar and HFCS. No thanks! I’ll stick to my souped up, better bowl of Cheerios, thankyouverymuch.
I brought some Thai Tofu Pizza and mixed fruit for lunch today!
To put me in the warm, tropical state-of-mind.
Ben wanted to inform his fellow tofu skeptics that it is delicious crumbled and on pizza. He should know – he scarfed half of it!
I literally cannot wait for 12:00 when I can dig in!!
All the mango that wasn’t used on the pizza last night, is coming with me today.
Don’t you love how luscious, smooth and exotic mango is? I could eat it for daaaaaays. Here’s how to easily cut it up. Or try it blended!
I threw in a couple kiwis too. I peel mine – how about you? There’s something about the fuzz that makes me unable to eat the skin. It’s like licking cloth – can’t do it.
In other news, second day soreness (which is always worst then next day soreness) has set in from the weight lifting class I took earlier this week. Ohhh, my inner thighs! Is your second day soreness worst than next day? Call me crazy, but I kind of like being sore. It feels like accomplishment!
In more exciting news, the birds are chirping this morning!!!!! If that doesn’t bring a springmustsurelybeonitsway smile to your face, than I don’t know what will!
In fact, let’s have a Spring themed Three Question Thursday, shall we?!
1. They say April showers bring May flowers. What’s your favorite flower?
2. Do you like said showers, and thunderstorms?
3. What’s your favorite Easter-themed candy?
My answers:
1. Peonies! The bouquets at my wedding were made up of all different shades of pink peonies and roses. Aren’t they beautiful?!

2. I adore thunderstorms. There’s nothing better then sitting on the front porch, watching the rain in the spring and summer. Or waking up to a thunderstorm.
3. Egg shaped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, natch! The ratio of peanut butter to chocolate is like 4:1 – AMAZING!

Your wedding bouqets were beautiful!!!!
Where in the world did you get your table cloth (or whatever bright fabric is under your food photo shots)? I love all the bright colors… sort of Urban Outfitters or Athropologie-esque.
I am ALWAYS more sore the second day! And I LOVE it, cause I know that I actually did something.
That pizza sounds amazing… do you deliver?
No, I don’t eat kiwi fuzz… gross!
My favorite flower… huh, it changes all the time, just like my favorite color, maybe every 1-3 years. Right now I think it would be a tulip or gerber daisy. Nope, don’t like showers or storms, cause I normally get stuck inside, and I’d much rather be out enjoying a nice day. Not to mention they make my hair frizzy… yuck! Easter candy… hmm… I’m not much of a candy person, I’m way more into cakes and ice cream. Every Easter my mother-in-law makes an Italian Cream Cheese cake, that is my favorite!!!!
I totally agree that second day muscle soreness is worse than first day
It does feel good, though!
