Hey blog-heads!
Oh my – the weekend definitely caught up with me today. My sleepiness, coupled with the drizzly rain, almost sent me straight to snoozeville this afternoon!
I always find that I’m the most tired, two nights after not getting enough sleep. The dreaded 2-day effect, if you will. It’s the same with exercise – I’m always SO much sorer, two days after a brutal workout. Anyone with me?!
After work, I groggily made my way over to my parent’s house to see this young man…my little (ok, taller – but younger) brother! He was in town from Denver this weekend, and is heading home tomorrow morning. I had to catch him while I could!
I don’t necessarily see it now, but when we were younger, everyone thought we were identical twins! Judge for yourself:
You can really see it here…especially in the eyes.
At any rate, my Mom cooked up a hearty feast for us to enjoy: Steak, Asparagus & Brown Rice!
She sautéed the asparagus until tender-crisp, cooked the rice until it was super fluffy and grilled our steaks to a perfect medium-rare. We cleaned our plates, obvi!
After bidding the bro farewell, I came back home and snacked on some Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels from my newly replenished Trader Joe’s stash. I don’t know how it happened, but the bottom half of the bag got smashed to smithereens!
Oh well, still tasted good going down.
I have to tell you – the Kashi Mayan Harvest Bake that I had for lunch today? Amazing. Such a fun and unique combo of flavors and textures! I will definitely be picking some more up the next time they are on sale. Totally delish.
Ugh, Ben just busted out his secret stash of Frosted Flakes and they are looking mighty tasty. Must resist, must resist, must resist…!
Have a good night!

What’s your earliest memory? How old were you?
My earliest memory is totally random, but fun! If I had to guess, I would say I was 4 or 5, and my family and I were on vacation at a water park . I remember being on this giant, wooden pirate ship that had water guns attached to the side that you could spray people with. Good times!
