Good mooor-ning!
Wow, I’m not even that upset that it’s Monday, because I had a fantastic weekend! From attending the opening day of the Farmer’s Market and indulging in ice cream and mojitos on Saturday, to a leisurely day spent with family and listening to thunderstorms on Sunday – it was a blast.
It got me very excited for summer!
I am keeping it totally real in the fruit department today…my fridge and countertops are so packed with produce, I could practically run a stand out of my kitchen! Starting with breakfast – Blueberry Cantaloupe Overnight Oats!
In the mix:
- 1 Fat-free Raspberry Yogurt
- 1 banana
- 1/4 cup old fashioned oatmeal
- 1/2 Tablespoon chia seeds
- Cantaloupe
- Frozen blueberries
I smashed my banana into the oats today so they’d be SUPER thick and creamy.
Frozen fruit is so handy to have. It’s one of those “oh yeah!” foods. As in, “oh yeah! I have blueberries in the freezer, I might as well throw those in!”
This might go down as one of the best bowls of OO ever. SUPER thick, creamy, sweet and chewy!
The fruit is overtaking lunch, too. I packed a big, fruity, Fruit Salad, fresh pineapple and some popcorn!
I’m just totally loving the colors of this salad!
In the mix:
- Mixed greens
- Strawberries
- Dried apricots
- Kiwi
- Sliced almonds
I once had a fruit salad with a banana in it. It was actually really good – but I think one banana a day is fine for me.
I chopped this pineapple up yesterday – omg, it is literally the sweetest pineapple I’ve ever tasted! Sweeter than candy! Need a tutorial on how to cut one up? Check this out. You’ll never buy canned again.
Pineapple buying tip: the ones that are more yellow than green, are usually the sweetest. Also, try plucking out one of the fronds from the top of the pineapple. If it comes out easily, it’s usually ripe and ready!
Some Lime + Salt Popcorn will be the salty relief to my sweet day.
Time to get this party started – come back tonight for a very exciting announcement!!

If you could only eat sweet or savory foods for the rest of your life – which would you choose?
Ugh, this is TOUGH. But I’m going to go with…savory!!

I recently had canned pineapple for the first time in forever and I have to say it tasted awful! Fresh is just sooo much better. Fact.
I’ve got to try some of that lime salt popcorn! I don’t think I’ve ever seen it in my grocery store though.
I would choose savory. As much as I like sweets, I’d feel sick if I ate them all the time.
Savory. But don’t get me wrong, I do LOVE my sweets.

Your fruity day is cracking me up. I once offered grapes to my uncle and declined saying he only eats fruit when he needs…uh…help (if you know what I mean)! I wonder what he would think of your breakfast and lunch!
I love how amazing pineapple is right now! Whenever I cut one, I have to seriously refrain myself from eating the entire thing!

I love fresh pineapple but my only problem is that after I cut it up Hunni and I sit down and finish off the bowl with forks in hand.

I’d go with savory–I love sweets, but after awhile I get sick from too many.
Love all the fresh fruit! Yay for the Farmers Market! I would choose savory and it wouldn’t even be hard. I am totally a salty fan over sweet.
Also, if you sniff the bottom of the pineapple and it smells sweet, than it’s sweeter tasting!

Savory. I’ll NEVER give up spaghetti and garlic bread! But, oh, to live without the occasional waffle cone? I don’t really want that either…
