I teased my hair extra high today because, by the time you read this, I’ll be flying the friendly skies en route to Dallas, Texas! It’s true, I’m headin’ to the Lone Star State!

A friend of mine moved to Dallas a couple months ago, and another friend and I are going to visit her for the weekend in her new home!
The three of us have a history of traveling together. From girls weekends in Chicago,
to college homecomings in northern Iowa.
Weekends spent rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes in Iowa City,
to cruises in paradise,
we always have a great time together, and I don’t expect this weekend to be any different. Viva girls weekends and exploring the great state of Texas!
In the meantime, I wanted to hook one of you up with a HOT grilling giveaway package from I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!
Check it out!
We’ve got a set of Crate & Barrel Corn on the Cob Picks and Dishes.
Two coupons for a free I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter product.
A Crate & Barrel Serving Bowl, Tongs, Turner and BBQ Mitt.
And an I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Grill Basket! I used this basket to grill veggies the other day, and it’s a total life saver.
Trust me, it is worth entering this contest for the grill basket and tongs alone (I love tongs.) The rest of the stuff is just icing on the cake!

I love to slather my fresh-off-the-grill corn in butter! A-MAZING! Enjoy your time in Texas!
love to use butter to saute with; every now and then it’s so worth it!
when i use butter, i use it like frosting, especially on fresh jalapeno cornbread. i like making compound butters for corn on the cob. my love for butter is pretty deep once i was even paid $1 for each butter chip i ate while i worked at a restaurant. i think i had about 15 or so. mmm…. butter
Without a doubt, cinnamon and sugar toast with butter is my old school favorite! I always eat it when I’m sick.
I love it on fresh Iowa sweet corn!
Butter is the best browned with mizithra cheese on pasta from the Old Spaghetti Factory. If I can’t have that, butter with sea salt on good bread will do.
Maple or cinnamon butter on a savory cornbread (i.e. jalapeno corn bread) is deeeelish. yum!
I love butter on mashed potatoes and sweet corn!
Love it on Iowa sweetcorn
My family used to make bread, bake it over a fire pit like a marshmellow over the fire. That was the BEST bread and butter, ever! But I will eat any bread and butter.
I love butter on a piping hot piece of cornbread!!! YUM!!!
I like to add a little bit as a finishing touch to my tomato sauces- so delish!
I looove just plain sourdough bread and butter… yummm
I loooooove a buttery cob of corn! Yum!
on sweet IOWA corn
(from Grimes!)
On my toast on the weekends!
And I tweeted! Hope you’re enjoying Dallas!
Melting on thick French toast!
My favorite use of butter is slathered on a corn muffin – then you grill the corn muffin and slather starwberry jam on said corn muffin! Delish!
I find there is nothing better than buttering up a piece of great bread. Forget the entrees, just give me bread and butter
I love butter on popcorn at the movies
mmm butter: let me count the ways! i think the best way to enjoy buttah is on a warm roll with dinner OR blueberry pancakes right off the skillet for breakfast!
i tweeted! “Enter the Great Grilling Giveaway from @IowaGirlEats & @ICBINotButter http://ow.ly/297iD! you know you want to! its summah time “
that’s hard, butter’s good on everything!
I’d have to go with smearing it on top of a warm yeast roll. mmmmm.
Nothing beats fresh Iowa sweet corn, fresh off the grill, and slathered with REAL butter! Talk about YUM!!
My favorite three ways to eat butter:
1) On top of a delicious moist piece of banana bread or zucchini bread! I can’t believe it’s not illegal!
2) Rolled on a hot cob of Iowa corn, topped with lots of salt of course! I can’t believe it’s not on my grill right now.
3) A big spoonful plopped in my mashed potato moat. I can’t believe it’s not in my mouth right now.
I love butter on a fresh from the oven croissant!
