Free Ice Cream for a Year!

67

Greetings from the Ice Cream Capital of the World – complete with dairy cows right off the side of the road (to make all that ice cream, don’t ya’ know!)

The drive took a little over 3 hours during which I entered one crazy storm,

came out the other side to witness this beautiful scene,

and had myself a nice little sing-along to Whitney Houston’s "I Will Always Love You". You should have heard it. Epic, I say!

I arrived at my hotel and walked straight into this little welcome package as I entered my room. I’m sure the whole floor heard my "AWWWWW!!!!" as the door closed behind me!

Do not adjust your computer monitors, that booklet does indeed say "Free Ice Cream for a Year." omg.

Oh, I have to show you the view from my room. Hello, Iowa!

This just cracks me up. It’s so Iowa, and I couldn’t love it more.

I’m going to go drive around town for a little bit and get a bite to eat before the sun goes down. Perhaps I’ll check out Bob’s Drive In that so many of you are raving about! :D

See you tomorrow, friends!

What state do you live in? What do you like best about it? What’s it known for?

I’m from Maryland, so Crabcakes and Football (or just according to Wedding Crashers- haha).

Now I’m in Georgia, so obviously peaches and vidalia onions :)

OMG is right!!! SO jealous of your bluebunny coupon!
I think the only thing Halifax is known for is LAke TObias (http://laketobias.com/)
I love that it’s still one of the few small towns to have old building and only one red light :)

So jealous of your free ice cream for a year! Since we’re on the topic of ice cream, St. Louis (where I live) is known for Ted Drewes—best frozen custard I’ve ever had!! (http://www.teddrewes.com/Drewes.asp)

If you ever come to STL, which you should bc it’s a great place to visit!!, you must get some Ted Drewes! It’s open ALMOST all year round :)

Wow!!! Can’t beat free ice cream!
I live in Minnesota, which is known for its lakes and insanely cold and long winters. I love fall here – crisp, colorful, and sunny. I just wish it lasted longer. Even though I’m quite happy here, I DO miss good ‘ol Iowa quite a bit. :)

I’m an Iowa girl…born, raised, & still live here! I would have to guess that Iowa is known as the livestock, corn & hicks state, at least to the outsiders! I just see it as all I know since have never lived anywhere else…ever! I like that we have full advantage of all 4 seasons….although about a week of winter is all
I need…the rest of winter I could do without!
