HELLO! Have you let out a big breath yet? It’s the weekend!
After work I went over to a friend’s parent’s house to chat and pick up a little somethin’ somethin’. You see, this friend of mine recently got engaged and the way she asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding was with this GORGEOUS wine glass!
She actually asked me via a picture of the wine glass in an email that I opened over the phone with her, since she lives in Minnesota, but her Mom was visiting her last weekend and brought it back so I could see it in person. It’s GORGE!!
My friend gave the artist a picture of us bridesmaids which she used to custom paint a girl on each glass to look just like us.
See the resemblance?!
HA!
(ignore the open dishwasher in the background…)
The inside says "refill A.S.A.P." Love it.
My friend and I have known each other since Jr. High, and have been involved in way too many embarrassing shenanigans together.
Shenanigans like being on a synchronized swimming team, watching countless hours of Alex Mac in her basement, playing Mario Cart until our thumbs hurt, dressing up as the Spice Girls for Halloween…both as Scary Spice…, eating Cheetos ’til our thumbs were permanently orange, and forming a club for banana cream pie, beef & cheese nachos and floppy hats…
Yep…she’s one of those friends. The ones you’ll have forever and will forever have the fondest memories of. I can’t WAIT to be a part of her big day!!!
While I was over visiting with her Mom, we sipped on some tea and snacked on these freshly baked Power Cookies.
Power Cookies because they’ve got every healthy ingredient under the SUN in them – protein powder, flaxseed meal, nuts, oats, whole wheat flour – yet they’re insanely moist! I’m going to try and get the recipe…I’ll be sure to fill you in if I do.
I actually stuffed myself with these babies, so I’m not ready for dinner quite yet. When I am, I’m sure it will be filled with LOTS of veggies. I’ve got a big bag of broccoli in the fridge that’s got my name written ALL over it!
Have a great night guys!

Were you and your friends as dorky as me and mine were?

Love the glass! It is so unique and cute. You can’t go wrong with old friends like that – no matter how much time goes by between conversations you can always pick up where you left off.
omg. i love the wineglass! what a cute and clever way to be asked to be a bridesmaid! and alex mac! i totally forgot about that show! i used to watch it all the time.
What a sweet way to be asked!
What a great glass and idea, too cute! =)
In response to your question…YES. I had a Christmas sleepover at my house sophomore year of high school. What did my friends Saundra and Cat and I do all night? Made a video show entitled “Boxer Gals” in which we spent two hours baking and decorating cookies while wearing the boxers we’d bought at American Eagle earlier. It was so fun and so lame! We apparently loved making videos, because there was also “Project Scumway” where we all dressed up in super-ugly clothes and modeled/”judged” them. Oh yeah, we were cool.
Yes…yes we were. As in, hurrying home from school to watch TRL and salivate over N’SYNC and 98 degrees…learning all of their dances, of course
Hope you get the recipe for the power cookies…the look and sound amazzzing!
omg i was so dorky! choreographed dances to spice girls with my best friend
went to an nsync concert with another. the list goes on…
that’s so exciting that you’re going to be a (beautiful) bridesmaid!!! congrats to your friend.
those cookies look delicious. i love moist cookies and ones wit healthy ingredients!
I was friends with a lot of boys growing up! we used to play with remote control cars and Indiana Jones like games… LOL!!
What a great idea to give bridesmaids! I never heard of anything like that before.
Oh, those kinds of friends are the BEST! LOVE the wine goblet. What a great idea and love how they made you look so glam. Can I get one, lol! Cookies look great too! Have a good weekend.
What a cute idea, I love the wine glass – and those cookies look soooo good! True friends are the greatest things ever!
What a cute idea!! My friends and I were totally dorky when we were younger. Whenever I’d spend the night at her house, we’d end up “ribbon dancing” at 2am. Hiliarious!
That wine glass is such a cute idea! It’s really special that you are your friend are still so close. Even though I went away to college, I am still extremely close with my four best friends from high school. They are the only ones who understand just how dorky I’ve ALWAYS been.
I love our wine glass, I have two “special” ones. One is “GODDESS” an my daughter has “PRINCESS” and the other one I have that I love is “COUGER”! LOL!!!
Will share a pic, just for you some day!
Yes, we were dorks. Still are!
the glass is so creative…i wish i have a friend like yours
Why is it that I’m not surprised that you were a part of all those crazy shenanigans? Good friends, I’d say! Congrats to your Spice Girl buddy!

Oh that is so freaking cute. I love it! And yes, I am that dorky.
Ohmigosh! That wineglass is GREAT! I might keep that idea in my back pocket when I ask my friends (someday!). Oh and I’m such a dork. It’s the way to be!
