Beerita

20

Last night was fun. :)

A bunch of my co-workers and I blew off some steam after work with beeritas – ever have ‘em? Beer + pre-made margarita mix = beerita! Delish, I tell ya! Afterwards we got some sushi for dinner and I was at home asleep on the couch by 8:30. Glamorous, no? ;)

I had to be up early today to tackle my lengthy to-do list! Here’s the plan of attack:

  • Laundry
  • Clean house
  • Blog stuff
  • Run
  • Shoe shopping

Ok, wow – that’s actually less lengthy than I thought. Maybe I’ll have some free time today to do…whatever!

In between chores I’m snacking on this, that and the other, including this juicy ‘loupe half.

I’m telling you – eating it right out of the rind is the way to go. No muss, no fuss – and FUN! :D

I just heard the whip crack – time to get back at it. Have a wonderful Saturday!

What’s your favorite mixed drink?

My favorite is a Mojito! A Skinny Mojito, actually!

I love mojitos but my mint plant died this year before I could try to make homemade ones!

I hate cutting cantaloupe. You have the right idea…. Can’t wait to try it with some Greek yogurt like I have seen you do :)

Another SUPER easy post-work drink: Faux sangria. Mix a cheapo red wine with Lemonade (I like Newman’s Own) or a sparkling lemonade. Just equal parts each over ice, with a colorful bendy straw and poof– summer lasts a little longer in a glass.
    Enjoy your blog.
    Happy weekend.

My all-time favorite mixed drink is the White Russian. Blended/frozen margaritas are a close second. I’ll have to skip trying beeritas, since I’m allergic to beer.

What is the recipe for the beerita? Ratio of beer to skinnygirl marg?

Hmm – I can’t remember for sure, but I think it was probably 2/3 beer to 1/3 marg mix!
