Disney World
Name: Sara
Who, what, where, when and why: Disney World with my family this past summer. We were revisiting after our first trip ten years ago…we were actually supposed to go back two years ago, but I wrecked my car so we had to use vacation money for car repairs. Sad times.
My favorite part of the vacation was: EVERYTHING! The atmosphere, the characters, the rides, THE FOOD!
My best travel tip for this location: Definitely plan ahead and set aside a day for each park, probably two for Epcot!
The thing you MUST do at this location: Go visit each and every world showcase in Epcot!!
The thing I want to do next time I return: Drink a beer from every country in Epcot! I’ll be over 21 the next time I go!
Azores
Blog: Nutrition, Food, Travel and More
Who, what, where, when and why: This past June, my mother took me on a fantastic birthday trip for my 30th. It started with my mother and step father visiting me in the Azores, which are Portuguese islands, and where I currently live. After a few days sightseeing around the island, we headed to the mainland. We visited Lisbon (Portugal) , Sevilla, Granada, Barcelona (Spain) and Marrakech (Morocco). My step father also travelled with us for the 2 weeks. We visited museums, gardens, palaces and beaches. In some places we had a tour guide planned so we could learn about the history or certain places, and other times we just walked around or did hop on-hop off tours.
My favorite part of the vacation was: Marrakech, it was just so exotic and different from any other place I have seen before, although it does have a lot of similarities from Southern Spain. The food was amazing. They cook using a tajine and have wonderful spices, not to mention the couscous is amazing. We even had a chance to visit the oldest synagogue in Marrakech. We stayed in a luxurious hotel with an amazing view and the most incredible service. I even got close to the snake charmer just so I could get a once in a lifetime picture. It was a great way to end my birthday trip.
My best travel tip for this location: Go in spring or fall and avoid the summer months. It is too hot to be able to enjoy anything. You should also consider a guide, at least for part because it can be helpful when in the markets and to learn more about the history. We had a guide and she was helpful with the language and in shopping because you it is good to have someone there who knows what is a good price or when you are being scammed. Many people spoke English, but it was still nice to have someone who was local to help out.
The thing you MUST do at this location: There are 2 must sees that I have, one for day and one for night. I recommend the Bahia Palace, which was the Kings Palace and named for his favorite wife. At night, you MUST visit the main square, Djeema El-Fna. The party gets started later in the evening, and you can find snake charmers, story tellers, acrobats and musical performances.
The thing I want to do next time I return: See a belly dancer. Our flight there was delayed and we lost some time from our agenda. We needed to rest and went to dinner late, and missed the belly dancer.

Wow, I had no idea I was actually going to guest post!!! I thought that questionnaire was just a “try-out” to win a guest post spot! Haha, I would have made mine much more detailed if I had known that was the final product! Regardless, thank you for posting my favorite vacation!!!
Can’t wait to hear more about Italy!
Thanks for posting mine. I actually live in the Azores and my responses about my vacation were about Marrakech, so those pictures are from Marrakech. If anyone is interested in seeing more about the Azores, my blog is mostly about life here on the island.
