Guess what YOU did?
I found out when I was still at work, so I let out a tiny "wheee!" inside my cubicle. Inside, however, I was all "WHEEEEE!!!"
Ahem, oh, excuse me!
Seriously though, thank you from the bottom of my heart for voting for me. It means more than you know and I appreciate every single click of that tiny, red heart. Challenge #2 takes place this weekend and I think I know what I’m going to be making. Details to come!
In other news, this was a good day indeed, because after work I completed my exercise goal for the week: running 5 miles in a single run.
After a summer of tackling 3 & 4 milers, the thought of a 5 miler made me a tad weary. Nature was on my side, however, and the warm sun + crisp, fall air made for ideal running conditions. Coupled with rested legs and proper hydration throughout the day – I actually felt great! My joints will hate me tomorrow, but tonight – it’s alllll good.
I was starving by the time I got showered up, so sweet Ben went on a Chipotle run for dinner!
I actually wanted to make Homemade Chipotle Burrito Bowls for dinner, but we ran out of rice AND I forgot to get cilantro at the store this week. Rats!
Ben knows my order by heart, and returned with all the right fixins. Let’s see, what do we have here…
- Black beans
- Pico de Gallo
- Salsa Verde
I add my own dashes of green Tabasco sauce, which is made from jalapenos and is mildly spicy and tangy. It’s. Awesome.
Ben also picked up some frosty Heineken Lights to cool off from our spic-ay bowls. We had Heinekens on our flight out to Rome – I think he’s reminiscing.
Well we’re going to take it easy and hang out at home tonight. We haven’t had a Friday evening to just be at home since we left for Italy! Plus we’ll be rooting on the Hawks hard tomorrow morning (following one of the most wretched performances I’ve ever seen, last week) and we need to bring our A game to the table!
Have a fabulous night and THANKS AGAIN you guys!
