Happy Saturday – how’s it going?
I had a date to get pedicures with my girlfriends this morning, so I got up early and had a quick & easy breakfast of Kashi GoLean Crunch and Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze!
I’m glad you all piped up about almond milk still being ok to use despite the “drink by 7 days after opening” warning. I’m going on 10-ish days now, and we’re still all good!
It’s a good thing too because, ugh, I just love USVAB so much. Juicy and made to pour over cereal. I wanted 10 bowls. 
I couldn’t though, ‘cause I had to meet my girlfriends at the salon to get our pedi on! I was torn – do I cling to summer pinks, or move on to autumn roses? In the end, I went with a mix. Dutch Tulip, in case you were wondering. 
I’m enjoying the view of my new tootsies while watching the Iowa game on tv. THANKFULLY I think it’s going to be a blow out as Ball State isn’t the biggest competition, according to my husband. Sorry BS fans – don’t shoot the messenger!
After the game I’m heading to the mall to do a little shopping, muwahaha! A department store in town is having an event where they give you a 20% off coupon for every item of clothing you bring into the store.
Then they donate all the items of clothing to Goodwill. Cool, right?! The great thing is that you can use the coupon for anything in the store – clothes, makeup, bag, shoes – anything! Mama needs a new pair of boots…so…score.

uh oh, famous last words! that’s what all the virginia tech fans said when they played james madison university 2 weekends ago (my college!) and jmu showed up and beat the hokies – it was a HUGE upset!!! can’t say i wasn’t ecstatic about it though
I love the Goodwill sale. I combine it with my associate discount and stock up on everything in home and cosmetics.
Oh I love, love, LOVE that color of the polish! Way to go in between seasons! I tend to do oranges during the summer, reds in the fall and dark purples or burgandy in the winter. I also love the name. Good choice.
Okay. I am seriously going to have to run out and get some of that cereal and almond milk because it looks delicious! I’ve wanted some good, healthy cereals lately and that bowl looks and sounds delicious.
What an awesome idea for the Goodwill stuff. That would definitely encourage me to do a little shopping.

who knew getting together w/friends would be so difficult. my main group seems to only get together for bdays (Sad, isn’t it?) everyone seems so busy w/work, new homes, new dogs, new jobs….then i have a group that does mani/pedis once a month and another group that manages a monthly night out….

Great choice on the pedicure color. I love it! I went through the same dilemma last night and ended up going with Ruby Pumps. I usually like that for manicures, especially in December since I get the ruby and the sparkle but it’s a little too dark on my toes. I am really fair like you too so brights wore better.
It’s feast or famine on the getting together with friends. It doesn’t seem like it’s often enough really-I see some friends a lot and others not enough.
Love that sale-I did that a few years back when I wanted a new piece of furniture at that store and it worked great!

My old roommate used to buy soymilk just for the fact that the expiration date lasted longer than cow’s milk. When I told her the expiration date on soymilk was for UNOPENED, and you were supposed to actually use it within 7-10 days she was appalled. However, her milk would often times last up to a month and she was fine!
OPI Dutch Tulips is my go-to polish. When I am scanning the wall of polishes, I always pick it up, thinking that it’s a different colour but it’s always Dutch Tulips. I got a pedicure last week and got Essie Velvet Voyeur from their new Fall collection. It’s a purpley-black. Although I love the colour, it’s too dark for September. Your chose of Dutch Tulips is perfect for early fall.

I hate to say it but I don’t see what all the hubbub is about almond milk! I tried the unsweetened original and the sweetened vanilla and wasn’t a fan.
I guess everyone’s different so I’ll just stick to my good ol’ cow’s milk and soymilk on occasion. 
Love the toe color – it works for summer and fall!
