Want to know how to make a 13 month old baby bust up laughing? Just
say
BEEF!
Seriously – my 13 month old nephew thinks the word “beef” is the funniest thing he’s ever heard. It’s hysterical!
My Mom, Aunt, Grandma and I babysat our little man today and, in between making him laugh, we ventured out into the beautiful weather for a walk!
The scenery on my parents street has now gone from this, to this,

to THIS!
And the leaf piles have gone from this, to this,
to THIS!
WOW!
My Grandma took the wheel, and we were off.
Up and down the neighborhood we went.
And a fine little time we had.
Picture time! Oh, you didn’t know? Pastels are back!
Three generations.
After we had lunch of soup and sandwiches, I went on my errands (which included trying on leggings for the first time ever and vowing never to do it again. They make me feel so…exposed!) and hopped over to the gym!
It was super quiet since I went in the middle of the afternoon – just the way I like it. I hopped on the treadmill and did my trusty 30 Minute 3-2-1 Workout:
So it’s 3 minutes at a manageable speed (6 out of 10), 2 minutes at a more difficult speed (8 out of 10) and 1 minute at your max speed (9 or 10 out of 10). Adjust the speeds to fit your level of fitness!
Afterwards I headed to the weight room to use the free weights. 3 sets of 10 reps doing the exercises outlined here. Ummm – my left arm is as weak as a kitten. How did that happen?! Oh I know, I haven’t lifted weights in MONTHS!
My arms are shaky right now, and I’m going to hate myself tomorrow, but you have to start somewhere!
I showered up and headed back to my parents house, where we feasted on some Pizza for an easy, family-style dinner.
A very-veggie thin crust,
and a classic slice of Pepperoni.
I loooove pizza!
Tonight = family time = the best time! Have a wonderful evening and a fabu weekend!

What was you or your child’s first word?
Mine was Dah-dah.

Finn is gorgeous. What a handsome boy!
I was a very verbal child. My parents always joke that my first word was, “Hi Mom. It’s a lovely day today.” I have a 3 month old now, and if I have anything to do with it, her first word will be MAMA!!
Looks you all had a great time! An autumn stroll looks like fun.
Mine was dada : ) Still a daddy’s girl…and a mommy’s girl. Who am I kidding?
Kristin, I have a question for you. How do you place the foodbuzz ads on your blog? Do they have to invite you to do that, or once you’re a foodbuzz member can you put them on your blog at any time?
Thanks,
Dana : )
Awww, what a cutie! Finn and your grandma!
Love that you were able to spend a wonderful afternoon with the people that love you the most.
Enjoy your evening girl.
Friday is for pizza!
Love the pics of the ladies! So cute!
I love Costco pizza, greasy and disgustingly awesome. I am glad I can buy just one slice at at time… and split it with daughter cause its so big!
My daughters first sort of word… was da da too! I was sick and when I came out of it she was saying that and he was grinning!!
Then I started telling her Ma Ma Ma Ma …
p.s, now I want pizza!!! ;-(
What a fun day! My oldest first word was “dog” and then “da-da”. The “d” sound is so much easier for babies to make but don’t tell the dads that!
My first word was “car.” I know, it’s weird.
I actually have no idea what my first word was, BUT my dad likes to tell the story of the time in my life when I had trouble with my “k”s. And we had “kitties.” Sooo, my k’s sounded like t’s. Put it together and it sounded quite hysterical coming out of the mouth of a toddler.
Pizza looks mighty yummy! I got some pizza baking n the oven tonight for dinner as well. Its the only night of the week that I let myself have it!
Finn is such a cutie pie! Reminds me of my nephew and all the cuteness that comes with being that age!
First words of mine: “Stop it” & Da-da …. so my mother says! I must of heard “stop it” a lot from my siblings! haha! Have a wonderful weekend!
My son’s first words were “All done.”
I don’t know whos cuter, your nephew or your grandma! love it, have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

It is sad how fast you lose it whether it be cardio endurance or muscular strength! What an awesome day it looks like you had! I miss spending time with my family.
Sounds like a fun day! And you just can’t go wrong with pizza
My parents always tell me my first word was leche, which means milk in Spanish. My first few words were all in Spanish actually.
I think that most kids’ first word is dah-dah. It’s the easiest sound to make. I have four kids and I tried SO HARD to have their first word be mama, but dah-dah it was.
The first thing ever out my mouth was, “Bye Jodi.” Jodi is my sister. Imagine everyone’s surprise when I hadn’t talked a lick and finally threw out not one word–but two!
i tried on leggings and it was awkward. so i feel ya…
He is so cute!
According to my mom, my first word was golf cart.
Mmmmmm….pizza! That treadmill workout seems pretty awesome. I just started the couch to 5k program so I’m hoping to get up to being able to run distances soon. Great job about conquering the gym and getting to the weights!
they made me feel so exposed too at first! but now i have no shame, they are just TOO comfy not to wear out!

I LOVE when you get to see families like this and things like the shape of your nose or eyes are shared with the rest of them. Makes the randomness of people seem so organized. Cute fam!
