Check out my new kicks!
J/k. Little man Finn was in the house this afternoon and tearing open all kinds of great gifts from Santa!
Basketball hoops, wagons, books…
even his very own laptop! He’ll be blogging in no time.
Meanwhile I’m geeking out over this new point and shoot camera I got from my Mom and Dad, (can you say HOT. PINK?!)
while Ben’s super jazzed about his new set of (skateboard) wheels!
The obligatory family photo was taken…
(gosh I love outtakes)
and Ben and I celebrated our third year as a married couple. Insanity!
Throughout the afternoon we dined on cool, shrimp cocktail,
and my Mom’s Wedding Soup, crescent rolls and fruit salad.
You know there was a heated game of Scrabble too, in which I once again managed to pull every single “i” played. Really?!
Both Ben and I have to work in the morning so we came home this evening and tagged teamed the sorting of Christmas decorations and gifts to get the house back in order. It was nice to say goodbye to the clutter, plus lingering Christmas decorations always make me sad for some reason. I don’t know why but I’ve always felt that way! How long do you keep your decorations up for?
Finally, in our last act of holiday gluttony, Ben and I broke into the new Pizza Pizzazz (yes, I realize how much of an enabler I am for buying him that gift!) and pizzazzed us up a pizza. Yeah…
Alright, alright. That thing is actually freaking great, and upon further inspection of the accompanying instructions and recipe book (oh yes, there’s a recipe book!) I found out you can cook cinnamon rolls on it. Sweet!
Oofta. I am SO excited to wave bye-bye to Christmas cookies and pretending calories don’t count during the holidays, and hello to regularly scheduled workouts, mindful eating and less snug jeans. Can I get an Amen?!
Wishing you a fabulous week, and come back tomorrow for the final Month of Holiday Giveaways – the grand finale giveaway tomorrow. Your sweet tooth will definitely be satisfied!
Off to find my stretchy pants… See ya’!
