In other news, Mother Nature must have heard the call of last night’s salad because it was, get ready for it, 61 degrees today!!! I was waltzing around this afternoon without a coat, literally unable to comprehend the spring-like temps smiling down on the Midwest in the dead of winter. I still can’t believe it! 8)

The day only got better when I opened my mailbox this afternoon and found a crisp, white, bakery bag inside filled with…

DSC_0002

Blueberry Muffin Larabars!! I was all "whoooowwhhaaaaaaAAAAYYESSSSSS!!!"

DSC_0007

Blueberry Muffin Larabars, people! I had no idea LB was coming out with a new flavor, and to get a surprise package of them in the mail was just the cherry blueberry on the sundae! Thanks Larabar! :D

DSC_0003

Sticking with the company’s signature low-ingredient list, this bakery-inspired bar has all the right stuff.

DSC_0006

And it legit tastes like blueberry muffin! There was no mistaking it for anything else with those chewy, sweet, dried blueberries. HOW do they do it?

IMG_0071

I know we just got done with the Month of Holiday Giveaways, but I’ve GOT to share the love. I’m giving away 3 Blueberry Muffin Larabars to 3 LB lovers! Enter by Friday, 12/30 @ 5pm central by telling me what your favorite part of 2010 was!

Ready? Set… Go!

Hands down, the best thing about this year has been my husband finishing his tour with the Navy. It’s so great to have him home and not be worried when he was gone. Second best thing was we were able to move back to Iowa! I love blueberry muffins and Larabars so I can’t wait to try this new bar.

Mmmm… Blueberries… Up here in northern Minnesota, we have billions (yes, BILLIONS) of wild blueberries! July just wouldn’t be July if you didn’t head out to the woods to pick them! :) My favorite part of 2010? Lots of things, but a boat trip with my family across Lake of the Woods to the state park on Garden Island (Yes! There’s a state park on an island!!) and then on to Oak Island for lunch ~ FABULOUS!

There are too many great things about this year to name. But I will add the new flavor of Lara Bars to the list! I wish I could find a source near me that sells a good variety. We just have Jewel and they only sell the not as good kinds. No cookie dough, no peanut butter chocolate chip, and now I am sure no blueberry muffin.
