Hummus lovers!
I am currently en route to Richmond, Virginia to tour the Sabra Hummus factory tomorrow! Bet you didn’t see that one coming, did ya?
If you’ve ever had Sabra hummus before than you know how silky, thick and luxurious it is. I love it on everything from celery & carrots, to Triscuits and toast.
Sabra invited me and several other bloggers out for the day to tour their production factory and see how their hummus is made. I’ll literally be in VA for less than 24 hours, but in those hours I’ll be sampling fresh hummus right off the line, learning about new Sabra products and flavors, and talking about trends in social media, health and nutrition. Cool!
I hear I’ll be leaving with tons of coupons to giveaway too, so I’m excited to share the love.
I packed a portable dinner to munch on during my trip, including an apple,
White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Clif Bar (which I have not had in ages and totally forgot how desserty and delicious they are)
and Honey Nut Cheerios, which I snagged from my Mom and Dad’s house before I left. Parents always have the best cereal, don’t they?
I also made sure to bring an empty water bottle with me, to stay hydrated while flying. This is one of my favorite travel tips that I actually snagged from my sister-in-law. You can’t bring bottled water into the airport terminal with you, but you can bring a water bottle and fill it up after you go through security.
Hello free H2O!
Well I am in between flights, and it’s about time to board. I’ll talk to you tomorrow, after my tour! Have a good night!

Do you like hummus? What’s your favorite flavor?
I like original and garlic!

Fun! I love the original–my husband sometimes eats it with a spoon. Ick, I prefer a nice chip, cracker or carrot with mine. Can’t wait to read more about your trip!
What a fun little trip! Enjoy!
i made the mistake of buying the athenos hummus at hy-vee b/c it was on sale and it was a mistake – sabra is way better! i’m a classic or garlic lover. have fun!
I love sabra hummus. Right now, I’m loving their roasted red pepper, but I also love garlic! I also really like zesty lemon hummus. Tonight, I’m going to make some dessert hummus (pb and chocolate) – pretty excited.
Sabra hummus is the BEST! I love roasted red pepper hummus and Pine Nut. Another fave is TJ’s Cilantro and Jalapeno. YUM!
I had a pumpkin hummus in New Zealand that I still dream about. Holy yum!
Sabra supremely spicy is my absolute favorite
I’m a big fan of the Sabra Roasted Garlic. I wish Hy-Vee stocked the big tubs, rather than just the smaller flat ones. Maybe you can ask the company to get Hy-Vee to stock it!
Garlic is awesome, but my favorite is their Greek olive flavor. Not every store carries it, but it’s amazing!
Whattttttttttt?!?! Omg I wish you were staying here longer, I would have loved to meet up!! If you do have any free time tomorrow shoot me an email and I’d love to grab lunch, but sounds like you may be too busy :/
Either way, welcome to Richmond – hope you enjoy (which may depend on what area of town you’ll be in
)
p.s. had NO idea that the Sabra factory was here… go figure!
That sounds like so much fun! Richmond is beautiful!
Virginia IS for lovers! I’m moving there next week. YAY!

Yum! I love Sabra!! My favorite is the roasted red pepper and spinach and artichoke. Have a great trip!
Had homemade hummus with dinner tonight. Roasted red pepper, which is also my favorite kind as well. Have fun in VA!
Love hummus! I really like roasted red pepper. I’ve seen a lot of great hummus recipes from various loggers and I really want to try making some new flavors! Enjoy the hummus!
How fun! I love the regular. Can’t go wrong. I love the little packages they have at target with pretzel chips! Wish they’d go back to the thinner ones. Maybe you can send them my suggestion
have fun I bet VA is beautiful this time of year!
I love sabra humus! I like all flavors but my go to is definitely red pepper. Lincoln Cafe in Mount Vernon has awesome fresh hummis. Also I like oasis humus which some Hy-vee’s stock. Have fun, and safe travels.

my favorite flavor is original
Welcome to Virginia, Kristin! Too bad you won’t be here for longer–it’s a beautiful place and a beautiful time of year right now! Enjoy your factory tour–that sounds so fun!
I love sabra! The spicy 3 pepper is the bomb on a sandwich with thin buns. Yummo! Have a great trip!
I’ve always made my own hummus so I dunno what “flavor” to call it, but I use lots of garlic, lemon, tahini, cumin, coriander, and cayenne. Yum!
OMG soooooo jealous!!!!!!! How in the world do you get these opportunities to tour the BEST food companies. Blue Bunny, Sabra…Ugh, this is amazing!
I live in Richmond and didn’t know the Sabra factory was here. We love it at our house! Not that you’ll have time to notice, but spring time in the South is so beautiful.
I live in VA! I’m about an hour & a half north of Richmond – which is a great city. My favorite hummus is one they sell at the farmer’s market here; Wisteria Gardens cilantro lime. It’s amazing. They also make a good runner up; white bean with artichoke. Yum!
You lucky duck! Sabra is my favorite hummus, I like the roasted red pepper one!
Have fun! I love Sabra Hummus and Richmond (lived there only for a year and a half but fell in love)! I think my favorite is the Roasted Red Pepper which I haven’t bought in awhile and now I want some!
my favorite is their roasted red pepper
Ahhh.. it’s so awesome that you’re coming to Richmond!
I knew Sabra was here in Richmond but didn’t know that they did tours – very cool! Too bad you aren’t staying longer because it would have been awesome to meet you. I can’t wait to read about the tour.
How cool of you to be able to do a Sabra factory tour. I love Sabra and it’s a staple in our refrigerator, we always pick up the big tub at Costco.
Have fun on your travels and I can’t wait to see your pictures.
Roasted red pepper — all the way!!
Excited to hear about Sabra and what makes their hummus so great! That said, I’m a sucker for locally made hummus… the fewer the ingredients, the better.
So cool! I love hummus. My favorites are garlic and roasted red pepper.
So jealous- Sabra makes the best hummus! I love the spinach artichoke flavor- I get the monster sized ones at Costco. Can’t wait to see your recap of the tour!
What a lucky girl you are! I literally JUST got done eating dinner, featuring Sabra Roasted Pine Nut Hummus (my personal fave)!! I slathered it on a low-carb whole wheat tortilla and filled it with baby spinach, grilled chicken, diced tomatoes, red onion and little chunks of cucumber. Sooo yummy! And don’t tell, but I also had Sabra hummus for lunch with carrots and cucumber…I guess it’s pretty much a food group at my house.
Enjoy your quick trip!
I just found your blog today from PB Fingers. I love it. It’s very similar to mine. I just added you to my blogroll
The Pine Nut Sabra hummus is delish.
During my most recent hummus kick I spread it on whole wheat toast, topped with fresh spinach and a fried egg.
No joke, I was literally liking my Sabra hummus container clean when I started reading this post! I love their original flavor, so simple, but yet so delicious!
I am new to hummus. I ate it only once – by dipping in ripped of pieces of tortilla wrap. Is that right?
mmm i love hummus! just had garlic today
Roasted Red Pepper hummus is seriously like crack for me!!! I can barely keep it in my apartment, once I start eating it, I can’t stop. I’m soooooo jealous!!!!!!!!!!!! And I was just in Brooklyn over Easter weekend and saw some new Sabra Greek Yogurt Dips, I’m interested in learning more about those. . . I haven’t seen them in the Des Moines/Kansas City are yet.
I just bought those white chocolate macadamia nut Clif bars over the weekend, and can’t stop eating them. They are so good! Love hummus too. My favorite flavor is roasted red pepper.
I heart hummus! What a fun adventure–have so much fun and take lots of pictures… Can’t wait to read all about it!
Hummus lovers. Hehe! Have a great time!
Sabra hummus is SO good — have fun!
I love Sabra, usually original, sometimes pine nut. I often add a packet of True Lemon for an extra kick. Looking at their website, there’s a lot of flavors I’ve never seen around here but would love to try!
Enjoy your trip!
I love Sabra hummus! I have tried a few brands and this is the best of the store ones I have found. Love the original with garlic and herb pita chips, yummy!
Have fun on your tour..
OMG I’m eating Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus & pretzles RIGHT NOW!!! It’s my favorite snack!
I hope you can take photos at the factory!
Sabra is my all-time favorite hummus! Are you working with them? Jealous.
And I had no idea that they were right in Richmond. A mere two hours from me! I also adore their babaganoush, but I haven’t been able to find it in years. Sad face. Tell them their Northern Virginia fans want some eggplant! Have a safe trip!
Wait, what? The Sabra hummus factory is within a 3-hour radius of me?! Ahhh! I love hummus and Sabra is my favorite. My favorite flavor is roasted pine nut, followed by original. I’m so jealous!
