Happy Sunday!
The whole fam gathered together this afternoon for my brother’s birthday lunch.
Holy big 3-1!
Per usual, my Mom made a fantastic, summer BBQ feast.
Balsamic Artichoke Pasta Salad (similar to this recipe.)
Corn on the Cob (which was promptly cut off the cob.)
Green beans & bacon.
And Baked Baby Back Ribs!
Whee!
31 candles is a bit much to squeeze onto our tiny, traditional Pepperidge Farms birthday cake, so my Mom put on…7 candles?
Nevermind the candles, just gimme the cake!
Pepperidge Farms Birthday Cake is the ONLY cake we serve in our family. I get giddy when birthdays roll around because it is SO. GOOD.
That is one good lookin’ family!
Finn provided the post lunch/birthday cake entertainment. His new thing is saying "Ohhh, insert first name here." in a tone of voice that suggests the person he is slinging the expression at has does something completely insane.
"Ohhhh, PA-pa."
"Ohhhh, DA-ddy."
"Ohhhh, BEN."
You crazy!
Well I had planned on making pulled pork sandwiches for dinner tonight, but I think two meals centered around pork is a bit too much for even this gal. Perhaps a little homemade chipotle burrito bowl action is in order??
Have a great night!

Oh, I knew I’d be seeing that Pepperidge Farm cake as soon as you said “birthday!” Happy B.Day to your bro!
Do you always have the PF white cake, or have you had the others too? They have other good PF flavors in our grocery’s freezer section.
We always have the Vanilla – it’s the best!
the coconut cake is my favorite!
oh my gahhh your nephew…! he’s like a tiny j.crew kids model! <3 <3
how fun! your nephew is adorable.
I have never had those bday cakes before and now I buy them all the time for my friends. Yesterday, I took a chocholate one, wine and flowers to my girlfriend for her bday!
Her mother in law was there and she had a lemon meringue pie and they both were a hit.
I love your tradition with that kind of birthday cake… what a great choice it is mouthwatering-ly delicious
Adorable pictures too!
Lol… ohhhh IGE, you crazy! He’s so cute
Haha, what a cutie!
Believe it or not, I have never tried balsalmic vinegar before. A friend of mine gave me a bottle of Colavita Balsamic Vinegar so I will definately try it with the pasta salad receipe. It looks delish!
Your hair is getting longer! Closer and closer to growing it out.
Finn is just so adorable.
Looks like a great Sunday!
Awww! What an adorable family photo! Finn is so cute!! What a great birthday! That food looks really tasty!
Happy Birthday to your brother! I need to try that Pepperidge Farm cake, now!!
