Good morning!
Today Ben and I are driving home from a wedding we attended in Walker, MN yesterday (re-cap to come,) but in the meantime I thought I’d share a bit of exciting news – Mozzarella Stuffed Bruschetta Turkey Burgers made the news!!!
Local meteorologist Megan Salois does a segment called Secrets Served where she goes to local restaurants and gets the secrets behind their most popular dishes. When she asked me if I’d like to do a segment with her, I was FLOORED!
It was literally 1,000 degrees when we taped on my back porch, and I say “exactly” about 1,001 times, but here it is (ahhh I hate watching myself on tv!)

I thought you were great Kristin, a total natural on camera! Good job
And that burger looks fantastic!
You did such a great job!!! You should make videos more often! It was quick, easy to understand, and now I think I might actually try to make those burgers!! You made it seem totally easy!
That’s so cool that they gave you a spot! Congratulations!
Congratulations on your tv debut! You were great!
Congrats on the TV spot! You did great and I can’t wait to try this burger.
So exciting! Congrats!
I hadn’t seen those burgers yet but I can’t wait to try them!
Awesome! You’re so cute! You were fantastic and seemed totally relaxed and confident! That is so cool that they recognized you!
And that burger is definitely going on my September menu! Delicious! And I am pretty sure my husband and 6 year old will love it too! Winner!
Watch out Rachel Ray. You are a natural! Congrats on the making to the big time girlfriend. AWESOME!
Great job! I didn’t even notice you saying “exactly”
This is awesome Kristin!!!! Congratulations!!!!
You did great!!!!
You were aweseome!!!! I think the Food Network needs to add you to the line up. I like that your recipes are really accessible and don’t have a billion ingredients.
congrats!! you are awesome/adorable!
That’s awesome! The burgers look really good too–In fact once the video was over, my son asked if I could make them (I’m skeptical he’d eat anything with tomatoes on top, but it’d be fun to try!)!
Congrats!! That’s awesome and the burgers look delicious. I love the peanut butter lid idea!!!
Congrats! What a fun segment and great recipe!!
Congrats. So exciting!
You are now going to be an even bigger local celeb! What out Giada, Rachel and Sandra!!!
Long before I subscribed to you in reader, I had stumbled across and started this burger recipe, and shared it with te Hubs and friends. I’m so happy for you that it got the attention it deserves!
You did great and look beautiful on camera!
CONGRATS! So exciting, friend!! This was well-deserved in my opinion!
I happened to catch the show by accident yesterday. You did great! It was definitely good to see the peanut butter lid trick demo live. It makes much more sense now, and I can’t wait to try it.
You did such a great job! You did seem like a total natural – plus, it really made me want to try those burgers!
Anyway, I think this is my first time commenting, but I love your blog, and I’ve loved all of the recipes I’ve tried so far. Great Job!

But, you’re pronouncing bruschetta wrong. BrusKetta
I’ll eat it anyway
Awesome vid though
Wonderful job!!! You should have your own cooking show!
Awesome! Great job on the segment and I think I know what my dinner plans are for tonight. Thanks!!! Love your blog!!
SO EXCITING. Congratulations!!! Love the video!
You did such a great job, you are a natural on camera!!! I love this recipe idea too, perfectttt for summer!!
I just looked it up and the afternoon that we taped this segment was one of the five days this summer that Des Moines hit 99 degrees. The highest temperature of the summer. Impressive that you were so cool, calm and collected standing in that heat by the grill! Thanks for doing it with me!
Oh gosh, I was standing next to, and taking cues from a pro.
Thanks again Megan – it was so much fun!
Great job, the food looked delicious!
So exciiting to see you on TV! You couldn’t tell it was 99 degrees out that day – more like 115 with heat index!!!!!! I wanted to go out and get all the ingredients to make those again after seeing this segment:) Good Job!!
I saw you on the news yesterday and made your turkey burgers last night for dinner. They were a big hit at our house! I like to try the foods you show on your blog (and now on tv). Your photographs and descriptions encourage me to be a bit more adventurous in eating and cooking!
Thank you so much Diana!
Please do more videos on your blog-you are a natural, you made everything seem easy and gave some simple but great tips. I’ll definitely make this recipe. I look forward to your blog every day!
You did wonderfully, Kristen! Love it. What a great media opportunity for you!
Great job!
That was great, Kristin! Congrats on such an awesome segment! You were a natural. Have you done a lot of those before?
Thank you Molly! I’ve done a few for my job, but they were more informal sit-down sessions, nothing hands on like this. AHH!
Those turkey burgers look great!
You did great! I agree, you’re a total natural on camera.

You are so small and cute. Enjoyed the show and hope you will get to do many more. Nice job!
I totally have a variation of these planned for tonight! Stuffed with feta and topped with spinach instead of the mozz/bruschetta combo. Thanks for the idea! Great video too!
This is so great! Congrats on a great job! I don’t think there is any way someone could get me recorded doing something like that, so I really admire those who have the courage. Hopefully this will bring you to even bigger and better things!
