Greetings from our nation’s capital! :D

Despite it being one of the busiest travel days of the year, Ben, his brother and I made it here in record time yesterday, and without a single hiccup. Last night we celebrated Christmas with Ben’s family, and this morning I was up and at ‘em early-style.

Destination: GYM!

After several days of eating, drinking, being merry and bright, I was more than ready to get a good sweat going.

Luckily, Ben’s parent’s have an awesome gym on the rooftop floor of their condo, where the views from the treadmill cannot be beat. I spent some QT with said ‘mill and elliptical this morning, and feel better already!

    Just got Turbo Fire…as much as I love hitting the good old gym, can’t get there this time of year so needed a sweet home workout and Turbo Fire was my Christmas choice. Plus following my intake with myfitnesspal.com And drinking lots of water!!

    That’s an amazing view!! I could definitely enjoy working out if I could look at all that.

    Just before Christmas, I bought myself a one month fitness center membership (which came with a bunch of perks, including two hours of personal training) to try it out. So far, I love it, and I plan to continue my workouts there and probably check out a few of their classes as well.

    Cut back on the fats (looking at you cookie/peanut/almond butter!) and sugars (cake and cookies!). Begin cooking more healthy, adventurous salads and find alternative ways (like http://www.Bodyrock.tv) to work out until my knee injury allows me to run again.

    My plan is to amp up my gym routine so I’m ready for summer hiking!!! My goal is to complete all 48 of New Hampshire’s “4000 footers” (mountains over 4,000 feet). I’ve done 22 so far and have 26 more to go!!! This Shape Up Package would be the PERFECT motivation- thanks Kristin!
