Daily Escape – The Blue Lagoon

13

The Blue Lagoon in Reykjavik, Iceland is a naturally heated pool of mineral-rich seawater that’s usually anywhere between 98-102 degrees. Visitors can slather themselves in white, silica-based mud and soak while taking in the views of the lava field it’s located in. Ummm, yes please! (source)

My kitchen has a cobalt blue ceiling, creamy off-white walls and woodwork. The ceiling always gets great comments. Love to read Iowa Girl Eats and tell lots of friends about you.

Hi! My kitchen is off white ceiling. Walls are a a tan color and I have black wooden cabinets. My accents are burnt red, pear color, silver canisters. I enjoy reading your blog!

It’s green. Almost gross lime/sage green (depending on the light). But I’ve added some blue accents with my grandmother’s old plates and artwork (ayers sarsaparilla anyone?). And it tones down the gross color enough to love it.

I’ve been to the Blue Lagoon and it’s a must-do-stop. One regret I have is not going far north to see the parts that look like the moon. Great place to visit.

I´m from Iceland and I´ve been many, many times… and it really lives up to its rep. :) But also lots of other really nice places to visit.

Went there last month while on a cruise. It was awesome. Donned the white mud mask, enjoyed the waters. Beautiful setting. I LOVE Iceland. Golden Circle tour was also spectacular. Think a must visit place between Sep-Dec and see the Northern Lights as well.
