15+ recipes for Valentine’s Day including appetizers, starters and sides, main dish ideas, and desserts.
Valentine’s Day is just over a week away – whee! This is exciting because I’ve got a whole other person to shower with love this year, but disconcerting at the same time because I have yet to enjoy any Sour Cherry Jels. Time is running out – the drugstore will be onto Easter candy before we know it! Though that does mean Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Eggs, which are the creme de la creme of all specialty shaped Reese’s.
I digress. As I mentioned last week, Ben and I will be staying in and cooking Valentine’s Day dinner at home this year. Such is life with a 6 month old! It’s really just fine though. Although many restaurants have fun menus for the holiday, they also tend to jack up the prices quite a bit because they know us sappy suckers will pay for it.
Well, in case you’re homebound too, fear not. I’ve got 15+ recipes that are perfect for whipping up with your sweetie, friends, cat, dog, goldfish – whatever. Cook a special meal for someone, or something, you love this year instead of going out to eat.
Between these 15+ appetizers, starters and sides, main dish and dessert ideas, of course, you should be able to pull together a festive, fresh, and, as always, easy Valentine’s Day dinner menu at home. Light the candles, pour a glass of bubbly, and enjoy!
Psst! I didn’t include last week’s Steak Salad with Crispy Shallots, Dried Cherries, Candied Pecans and Goat Cheese, Shrimp Caesar Salad in Crispy Parmesan Cups, and Snickers Chex Mix in this round up, so be sure to check those out too!
