T-minus 1 week and some change until July 4th! I’ll spare you the “CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!” talk even though I really (really!) want to because, hot dang, how are we nearly halfway through summer already? I’ve had zero hot dogs on the grill! I mean–

My Dad had knee surgery last week so we’ll be trading our traditional capital concert + fireworks display with my parents this 4th of July, for a night filled with bang snaps and sparklers with friends and their kids – which I will definitely be partaking in. What can I say, nothing makes you feel like you’re 12 years old again quite like holding a sizzling fire stick. I can smell the sulfur now!
But first, we feast. The 4th of July is such a FUN foodie holiday, right? The smoking grill, endless salad and dessert tables, and of course, cocktails.
