HALF DAY = DONE. It’s officially the weekend, and a beautiful one at the that! After 4 days of grey and rainy drizzle – the sun is shining and the skies are blue.
After I skedaddled out of work, I went to get my whip some new shoes. When I got to the tire place, they had accidentally sold the set they were going to put on my car to someone else, so I got a free upgrade. Boo yah!
While I waited, I browsed around some stores that were on the same shopping strip as the tire place. First stop was Michaels Crafts where I picked up some completely unnecessary adorable Christmas tree ramekins!
These are dishwasher and oven-safe…I’m seeing Christmas tree-shaped baked oatmeal in my future! I’m also seeing my camera’s reflection…hello! And dust…need to get on that.
Then I hopped over the the $1 Store to get some wrapping paper for Christmas gifts. The $1 store is where it’s at for stuff like this. I’d pay $3.50 for the same amount of paper at Target!
I picked up a penguin roll, because that’s Ben’s favorite, and another roll featuring a cutie patootie Santa. Aw!
On the way home…I did the damn thing. I still can’t believe it. I rented Twilight.
If you asked me two weeks ago what I thought about Twilight and all the craziness surrounding it, I would have scoffed and told you I couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about.
Then I saw the MTV special Twilight: Love Bites where they dissected the supposed real-life love affair between the two stars of the film – Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson.
I know I’m too old to be into the gosspiy invasiveness…but I couldn’t help it – I was sucked in! So, I’m giving the Twilight movie a try and if I like it (which, lets be real, I probably will) I think I’m going to see New Moon in the theaters!!
I wasn’t extremely hungry when I got home (thanks to those eggs!) but I reheated some of last night’s Balsamic & White Wine Roasted Vegetable Pasta for lunch anyways.
Ohhhh sooooo gooooood.
The roasted brussels sprouts were just as delicious today, warmed up, as they were last night! Is there a brussels sprouts association I could be the spokesperson for? Just saying…I’d do it.
Yum, yum, yum. Check out the recipe for this dish if you haven’t yet!
Ok, I’m feeling very motivated to tackle that to-do list from this morning. I’m starting with my most hated item on the list: bathrooom duty. Hi-ho!
