Hi everybody – happy Sunday, hope your weekend was everything you wanted it to be :)
Soooo…my dress decision was to go with…Option 1! THANK YOU for all your help in deciding!! It was blazing hot out and it seemed like that was the option that would keep me the coolest…and it did!
The wedding was absolutely stunning – and the reception was equally as beautiful! It was held on the lawn of the historic Salisbury House, which was built in the 1920’s and modeled after the King of England’s home in Salisbury, England. IT IS SO COOL!!! Here are some pics :)
We had the tastiest appetizers – I had puff pastries stuffed with cherry jam and melted brie, and the best brushetta I’ve ever had!
Vino – of course ;)
Ben had some fun with the color settings on my camera :)
The dining tents were setup on the lawn directly in front of the house.
Perfect!
We started off with hands down the best salad I’ve ever had. Spinach, walnuts, strawberries and ricotta cheese. Brilliant!!
Dinner was surf and turf – filet and crab stuffed shrimp. OMG – it was heaven!
The happy couple – so adorable!
What a fun weekend this has been being involved with the rehearsal dinner on Friday night and the wedding last night. I just love weddings, aren’t they the best???
Today Ben and I kind of loafed around for a bit, went grocery shopping and in general are trying to move as little as possible until the AC repair man gets here tomorrow! We had my little brother, who is living here in town this summer with my Mom and Dad before he moves to Denver, over for dinner – which was a summer grill out!
- Burgers
- Grilled chicken (for yours truly)
- Corn on the cob
- Pasta salad
- Potato Chips
- Grilled peaches
My parents have been out of town since last Wednesday so the poor boy needed a good home cooked meal!
Ughhhhhgrilledpeachesarethebest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And so simple! I literally cut mine in half, remove the stone, spray both sides with some non-stick spray and grill on both sides until they are soft and cooked! Easy peasy!
Ok – I’m off to mentally prepare myself for the coming week!! Have a fabulous evening everyone!
That dress looks great on you! And the wedding is gorgeous!
Your bbq sounds like the perfect summer meal.

Grilled peaches? I definitely need to try that! The dress looks amazing on you and the wedding looked like lots of fun!
I am going to have to try grilled peaches! I’m a vegetarian but we grill a lot, so that will be a fun new dish to try out. I also like that you put the grilled corn in your salad.
