Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a nice week!
I always thought I could live in the Pacific Northwest because of the weather. I really, really love the rain. It’s just so cozy, right? Well, when you have a 9 month old it’s not quite the same. It’s been raining for a week straight and Lincoln and I are going stir crazy in this house! Although, in my desperation to find fun things to do indoors, he’s got to experience the fun that is spinning upside down on the “dizzy chair” aka my office chair, and learning about every single aisle in Target. I think we’ve been to three Targets in four days because “Mommy forgot something.” #desperation
Anywho, hallelujah I’m heading somewhere warm this weekend (details to come,) and we’re supposed to be back to seasonally appropriate sunny skies and 70s next week. I can’t wait!
Wherever you are and whatever you do have a wonderful weekend, and in the meantime please enjoy my favorite finds from around the web and beyond in this week’s Friday Favorites! (I apologize in advance for the plethora of sweet treats this week. Wait, no I don’t. You’re welcome!)

Favorite disguise: Superfood Sweet Potato Dessert Fries. My eyes bulged out of their sockets (graphic) when I spied these dessert fries made with super foods like pomegranates, dark chocolate and obviously sweet potatoes. DO NOT MISS checking out the other toppings – mind blowing!
Favorite fashion. This stylish Instagramer’s style is exactly what my style would be if I had style. Right.
Favorite makeover: Cauliflower and Chicken Sausage Casserole. This dish won The Kitchn’s Best Healthy Casserole award. Looks so yummy!
Favorite place: Mesa Falls, Idaho. Incredibly beautiful. Seems like a place that would remind you how small we are in this world.
Favorite indulge: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Scotcharoos. I didn’t think scotcharoos could get any better but clearly I was wrong – to the tune of two additional layers of deliciousness. :)
Favorite truth. Story of my life. GIVE IT TO ME.
Favorite sip: Peach Bourbon Iced Tea Cocktail. Three words – All. Summer. Long.
Favorite bite: Monster Cookie Dough Energy Bites. Cookie dough flavor AND energy? I’m in. Love that I have everything I need to make them already in my cupboards, too!
Favorite DIY: DIY Herb Garden. What an awesome design for an herb garden! It’s not only practical – you don’t have to stoop as much – but it’s a stylish piece for any garden. Will you be gardening this year?
Favorite redo: Cashew-Less Vegan Queso. Speaking of lighter nacho cheese sauce … You’ll never guess what ingredient Dana @ The Minimilast Baker used to make her vegan queso dip instead of high-fat cashews. Check it out!
Favorite fresh: Sweet Tooth Salad. I feel like every salad I’ve ever made should be named Sweet Tooth Salad. I just NEED a sweet element to every salad I eat – it totally makes it!
Favorite find: Jane.com. Have you been to Jane.com or am I the last person on earth to do so? My friends have been poking at me for months to check it out so I finally did and ordered four things in one week. Whoops. It’s a “daily deals” site, which usually annoy me to no end, but they have the most adorable stuff for home, fashion, kitchen, etc, and everything’s incredibly affordable.
I recently bought this adorable necklace in pink from Leo & Lilly, via Jane.com, and it just arrived yesterday. ADORABLE, and guess how much it was? Guess?! FIVE DOLLARS AND NINETY NINE CENTS. I love the you let me shout on Friday Favorites, btw. :)
Favorite upgrade: Cashew Chicken Rotini Salad. Goodbye boring chicken salad, hello Cashew Chicken Rotini Salad. Yum.
Favorite home. Cool combo of chalkboard and buffet, right?
Favorite yum: Cheesy Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes with Crispy Chorizo & Maple Cream. You had me at maple cream. Yowza these look good. Pair with a salad and you’re set!
Favorite woah and photo: Birthday Cake Chocolate Chip Cookies. You MUST click through to see the secret ingredient included in these unbelievable cookies. Hint: I’ve been wanting to try them for months. Side note: I about licked my computer screen at the sight of that cookie dough!
Awesome finds! I spotted that delicious looking sweet potato dessert thing this past week, and about passed out from excitement. The minute I get my hands on some chocolate, I am going straight to the kitchen! Thanks for sharing!!
I love that shirt about the guacamole. YES.
the guacamole shirt is too fun. totally true. and those sweet potato fries. i am still dying over that photo from earlier this week. need to have some.
I hear ya on the rain sister it’s driving me crazy too. That peach bourbon iced tea is definitely calling my name…
Your Friday Favorites are always amazing always in all ways…I dont know how you stumble upon these finds but please don’t stop lol Enjoy the change of weather wherever your travels take you. Cheers to the weekend!
Those sweet potato fries look like a party in my mouth!
Awesome suggestions as always.
Love the herb stand pic, what a cute idea. As a gardener, I’m trying to convince everyone to plant herbs this year!
Hey, they’re 3 to 5 bucks in the grocery store for just one fresh herb! And some recipes call for 3 separate fresh herbs!
Thanks!!
Thanks for linking to my Cashew Chicken Rotini Salad! And I’m soooo with you on the rain. Totally over it and hoping for some sun and warmer weather!
Thanks for sharing my Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Scotcharoos. We are so ready for the sun to come out in Minnesota, too. The kids just want to play outside, but it keeps raining!
Everything you picked this Friday is amazing! Loving the guacamole t-shirt and the DIY garden! Have a great weekend of travel!
I love Jane.com! I’ve been checking it out for the last 6 months or so, and seem to find at least one thing to purchase a week :)
Thanks so much for including my Sweet Tooth Salad in this amazing post! I have that necklace in pink as well and I love it! I find I never where the larger version (which I went a bit overboard on ordering from Ebay). I *need* that Guacamole shirt!!! And Cookie Dough Scotcheroos? Yeah, I’ll need that shirt in a larger size. Have a great weekend!
Does that vegan queso look SO awesome?? How cool that it is made with eggplant! That is some serious creativity there.
I love that guac t-shirt! Haha, so true!
Thank you for featuring my bourbon iced tea cocktail! I know I’ll be drinking them all summer long.
And I love that DIY herb garden. I’ve been trying to get my husband to make me one similar to that using a pallet for the last year. Maybe he’ll get to it this summer.
Omg that vegan queso looks incredible, can’t believe that secret ingredient! Genius!!
Amazing list this week as usual.. love your fashion picks too. Can it be warm enough for spring clothes already?!
all the cookie dough in this is making me CRAVE it. i think i might need to make some eggless cookie dough to eat out of the bowl for my pregnant self.
The chocolate chip cookie dough scotcharoos looks amazing! The cauliflower and chicken sausage casserole also looks delicious! Have a great weekend!
I just had to tell you about a little tweak to the chicken rotini salad! I make basically the same one, but additionally add celery, pineapple tidbits, mandarin oranges and green onions. I also sub the ranch dressing with coleslaw dressing. It is my favorite salad and I usually double the recipe for a huge batch and it is always a crowd pleaser!
Jane.com is so addictive! Sometimes I have to refrain from even opening up the e-mails, they always have multiple things I want to buy!!!
That guacamole shirt.. I know the feeling! Jane.com sounds amazing, but I’m trying to avoid clicking that link because I know I’ll get sucked into a deal!
Hellooooo! Big thanks for putting those cheesy spuds of mine in this Friday’s roundup. It was definitely worth the early morning DING of my WordPress notifications. :) And, um, I want to put my body into that striped-skirt-and-wedges outfit yesterday. Perfectly unfussy but still stylish enough to convince folks I know more than just the Target junior’s section when it comes to fashion. (But really – it’s kind of the best.) Have the happiest of Fridays! xo – Em
I NEED THAT SHIRT!!!
How would you make the Birthday Cake Chocolate Chip cookies gluten free? The chocolate chip part would be easy, but the Birthday Cake Oreos would be hard to make gluten free. Ideas or suggestions? THANKS!!!
Totally hear you on the rain–the loving it part! Everyone I know thinks I’m a little strange when I express my joy at days upon days of rain (and sometimes snow, being a Minnesotan transplanted to the east coast). Have not tried it with a baby, though–that sounds like a challenge!
Friend! Thank you so much for the shares! So appreciate it. Much love!
We stopped at Mesa Falls on our honeymoon. It truly is gorgeous, and HUGE! I love that you linked something that is so ordinary in my little Utah world. I look at your beautiful posts about places I’ve never been and I am usually jealous, so it’s fun to have been somewhere you haven’t!
I love Fridays on your site…keep the favorites coming! :)
I can relate to having to find indoor activities to entertain your little one. I usually despise the mall but we ended up going twice this week to “walk” while it was raining.
glad you will have the chance to experience better weather this weekend!
Oh, that sweet tooth salad looks amazing!
I have no idea what’s going on in that sweet potato recipe, but it made me laugh ;)
Me too, ;-). Funny
I’m all over that guac shirt! That’s the kind of irony I can get behind. Thank you so much for posting a million pictures of sweet things that I would love to stuff into my face….right before I go for my run! Enjoy wherever you are this weekend. I am trying to breathe in Memphis amidst the royals attending a wedding and the music festivals.
Thank you so much for including my herb garden! Have a wonderful weekend. :)
Cute necklace! I am such a jewelry junkie too! I am from Portland and it is as wonderful as they say! Cannot wait to move home someday!
Thank you IGE, Jane.com is so cute! Reasonable and fun!!!!
I am making two of these tonight! The protein balls are done and setting up in the fridge, and the eggplant is broiling for the vegan queso :) yummmmmmmyyyyy.
Hey there! I also love Jane.com! Another one you should check out is pickyourplum.com. Basically the same concept, but only 2-3 deals per day and, in my opinion, the prices are better. I am always satisfied with the quality of the products as well.
That Guac shirt is hilarious.
YES, please!
I need that shirt… and that cookie dough.. all of the things!
I’m not doing a full fledged garden this year as I’m due with my first baby on July 20 and who wants to weed a garden at 8 7 months pregnant!? I am doing container cherry tomatoes and herbs though so not all is lost!
I love Jane.com – I sell personalized family & nursery prints on there and they are a great company to work for (and to buy from!!).
Mesa Falls is gorgeous, I’ve been. Can you believe some kids went over it in a boat (and survived)!
Ha ha ha! I love the guacamole shirt. So true.
Officially addicted to Jane.com now. Thanks for the recommendation!
Also, I am all over those Monster energy bites, yum!
