20 of my favorite fall recipes including scones, sandwiches, sides, salads, soups, and more!
It’s the MOST, won-DER-ful tiiiime, of the yeeeear.
Can I go on a little Christmas tangent real quick? Because that legit just stirred a little sparkle in my soul.
1.) Grandparents – if you need a gift for your grandkids this holiday season, give them a recordable Hallmark storybook with your voice on it. Lincoln got one from my Grandma last Christmas and is obsessed with it which means I get to listen to her reading The Night Before Christmas all year round. Nothing like teaching your kid the names of all 8 tiny reindeer in September! (By the way did you know “Donnor’s” name is actually “Donder”? Mind = blown.) Just remember to close the books when you’re done with ’em because they have a tendency to go off randomly at night and you’ll be all, Grandma?
2.) Target has a secret Christmas aisle in the back of the store! I know. I went there Tuesday for the second time this week (you do the math,) looking for school supplies to donate. I figured they’d be in the clearance corner in the back of the store by all the Halloween stuff but nope – a whole hidden Christmas aisle instead. Shysters!
Ok now where was I? Oh yes, the most wonderful time of the year – fall food time! While fresh summer recipes really rev my engine, fall comfort food completes me. Apples, pears, squash, chili, soup, stews, salads, scones, casseroles, cinnamon, warm, cozy, elegant, cornucopia! Whew. That is to say, fall food is such a pleasure to eat, isn’t it? Warms the soul and fills the heart (and belly, of course.) I’m so excited to share a roundup of 20 of my favorite fall recipes today as we close out the first week of fall. I can’t remember the last time I was this excited to compile a collection as each one of these recipes is a true favorite of mine.
I hope you give some of them a try this fall and, in the meantime, have a wonderful first weekend of fall. We’re going apple picking for my Mom’s birthday. Can’t wait! What are you up to?
NOTE: not all these recipes are gluten-free so read ingredient lists and labels carefully!
